These connections are sometimes this forums equivalent to "my mom's hairdresser's son knows a guy who once ate lunch at a Subway where Brad Pitt's cousin used to work". No criticism meant; I'm guilty of it too.

I love haunting of hill house and I’m currently rewatching it and I honestly am having a hard time seeing how they will do a house. A lot of the true horror of the show is just how subtle something’s are

Strongly disagree. Their clues are so vague they can apply to several IPs/concepts. And when the line up’s announced, they seem credible because they hinted at them, while also hinting at others within the same clue.

I've been completely off on following HHN30 spec this time but I booked my flight yesterday. Was going opening weekend but The Killers announced their tour and they happen to play here in Texas that weekend so I had to change my flight to Halloween weekend lol. Would RIP be a good investment? I usually buy the fast pass since I only go one day but this time I am thinking of going on both Saturday and Sunday. Probably do Unmasking the Horrors on Sunday.

If you can afford RIP, I would RIP.

RIP is literally the only way I would return to HHN.

Ive been doing nothing but RIP since HHN24.. It is a game changer, and worth every penny. Have done three private and three non-private. All great. Doing a private again this year.

I did RIP this last year and it sucked. The food was awful, the bar stops took forever, and the route made us miss AoV and the Facade for Depths. I can better utilize my time at HHN with Stay and Scream + Express. The only cool part was the guide’s info on the houses, when I could actually hear it over the rich drunk douchebags on our tour talking endlessly. Never doing RIP again.

This is the main thing keeping me from doing a non-private RIP.

It's such a gamble on who you get stuck with, and there have been many many many patrons we've been in line with, that I would hate to be stuck with all night.

I have never done RIP. Call me crazy, but I think I'd prefer Express over RIP. Mostly because I like to control my night.

Now a private RIP...

With RIP, can you explore the scare zones or do they just rush you through them? Also, is it an add-on or an actual ticket? I see the two days I'm going are not blocked out on the current promo

Love The Killers! I hope to see them one day. I did my first RIP tour last year and overall it was great. The Good: Fantastic tour guide, skipping the lines, and not rushing to see everything. Wishes: Wish the stops were shorter or was offered to vote to skip the stops, Wish we got at least one free booze drink on this tour, our group was ok but if you can find people that u know or passionate about hhn to join your tour it could make it more fun. If I was to do it again and planned our trip better (we went last min) I would get the early tour start time so I had more time to wonder the park and go through houses as the lines die down. I think when we finished we had 30 min left before the park closed. If you can afford it I would say do it.

You stop before the zone and the guide explains the concept, then you walk through at a leisurely pace. Our guide planned a bar stop break at Hellbilly Deluxe last year, which gave our group 20 min to explore the zone and/or drink at Lombard’s.

A lot of people really like RIP. If you like to have your night kind of planned, not worry about anything, and be chill and leisurely getting through everything, then RIP is absolutely for you and I would highly recommend it. Part of the excitement of HHN for me is the planning, getting there early, beating everyone through the early houses...basically out game-planning everyone else. So RIP wouldn't make it for me because I like the challenge of getting through all the houses without any express or anything else. So, I think the value of RIP depends mostly on what kind of experience you are looking for.

I never really followed him, but I go check out his postings now when someone here makes me aware of them. Man are they EASY to decode (at least all the ones this year). They are either ridiculously obvious or you can pin it down to 2 or 3 properties. Legacy's clues are WAY harder and actually make you think (which is more fun for me :)).

I never actually realized until reading this that *private* RIP tours were a thing! I need to look into that.

I’ll concede that the Ifrit gave away Creepshow and Terra Queen before I gave clues for them.
