The Old HHN 30 Speculation Thread (2020)

Not trying to get into the mass hysteria of this, but many places are installing bans on public gatherings of more than 50 people for the next 8 weeks (goes into affect here at 9am tomorrow). This is going to last longer than people think.

HHN bounced back quickly after 9/11 and Pulse, but those were different kids of emergencies. In this day and age with the internet and lawsuits, a business would be committing financial suicide to put it's clientele at risk for their bottom line. If the park opens when other bans are in place and one attendee later tests positive and other attendees are put at risk, that won't be pretty.

Closing a 2 month long event and sacrificing that profit is better than a PR disaster and crippling lawsuits.

I think Universal will definitely do what it has to do.

But mostly, I think Uni will do what Disney does.

We need to drop the "Will Coronavirus/shutdowns impact this?". I understand it's tough with the elephant in the room, but every thread is slowly becoming that discussion. We are entering unprecedented waters, and honestly, the answer is either "yea, probably", or "Too early to tell". Yeah agree - while it doesn't seem quite as open-ended as the "Push" clue, there's still a lot of directions to take this. I've tried Agent P, OWCA, Perry, clip show, Tri-State Gazette date, and Trilogy of Terror date. Not sure where else to go with this one without either a shortcut or a clue from @Legacy that somebody is somewhat on the right path.

With all this negative chatter about HHN even happening, I'm not as into solving these clues now because I'm a bit depressed at the prospect. So, I dunno......

Perry can be short for Peregrine, which leads me to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Childern, staring Eva Green. Eva Green also stared in the James Bond movie Casino Royale, giving a second connection to Perry the platypus. Dr Doof's Bond counterpart in that movie was played by Mads Mikkelsen, who also played Hannibal Lecter. So I'm going to guess Silence of the Lambs. Going with this over the show Hannibal because it seems to be better known.

Hmm, I'll give a shot at this...

When you look for a Giant Platypus, you get articles about the discovery of a Giant Platypus in Australia. Now the articles are posted on several dates, but some intriguing stuff can be found when you look into them. (One of them does mention the Platypus has been dubbed "Platypus Godzilla", but I'm kinda' taking that as a red herring for now.)

- The article I looked into was posted November 5th, 2013.
- Looking into films that were released that day, only one came up, "Golden Mind".
- In the film is Director/Actor Josiah David Warren.
- Looking at JDW's filmography, another film caught my eye...a 2017 film called "Run".
- A Run house would make sense, it loves showing up at anniversaries.

EDIT- Though I just realized this clue is shared with Hollywood, so unless HW is dipping into a original, Run might not be the answer here.

One of the people who discovered the giant platypus is named Mike Archer.
Actor Randall Archer was in The Collector written by Patrick Melton.
Patrick Melton wrote some of the Saws, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and a new Halloween.
