Even before you couldn't see DC from the front of the park, so you have no point or argument there. The fact you see the castle from the front of the park makes people attracted to the area of the park moreso now, hence breathing new life onto our former DD coaster.

No, no, Vyrus. There are scientific tests that prove that just because there is no line anymore, it doesn't mean that everyone got in. They were all kicked out of line by UO before closing because they don't follow Disney policy and those guests are now swimming and wondering why they didn't get on DC or FotH.

I have scientific proof that if I fart I'll clear a path straight onto FJ.

Numbers are numbers, facts are facts. Reports are just a reason for someone to have a job and merit their decisions based on numbers.

There is a book out there, the name escapes me right now, but it is all about the human race putting their faith in numbers and trying to find a pattern and a reason to do things. Sometimes its done, well, because it works! :bonk:

Yes, it DOES make sense. Hulk may not be a new ride, but it's not in a new land. The new land is extremely popular, but so are otehr rides. The reason people avoid DD in WWoHP is because Forbidden Journey is right next door, and it's new. Hulk has nothing new next to it, therefore, anyone who wants to go on it can. Hulk was empty on opening day too, everything was. And I agree with Jymmymack, you're obviously right because you know everything about this. Let's move on :)

I will weigh in once and only once on today's raging conversation.

You cannot force UO to change their ways. They've spent plenty of time planning what they will do with the crowds before this thing opened. I am sure of it. Of course you can never be sure how big the crowds will be, and how they will react to what you do. However, it has worked so far, and crowds will only lessen as the weeks pass by. People ARE waiting in that 5 hour line to get into the WW, and I bet some of them do infact have no idea what exactly they are waiting for. But later in the day, the crowd does start to file out, even if just barely, and people can pass in and out as they please. Lines will be long for FJ and shops ALL day. There will not stop being some sort of line for Honeydukes until September.

UO WANTS these crowds. They will do anything possible to capatilize. And what they've been doing is just that. Keeping lines barely reasonable for Potter fans and people who are on vacation, which is most of the population of theme park guests. Lines that keep a steady supply of money spenders moving through. What UO is doing is perfect for them, and it does not upset most guests.

I think we should all take a nice day trip to SeaWorld. That's what I'll be doing next week.

In that vein, Mantaguy, what's your favorite ride at SeaWorld?

I have to say, I don't mind if DC has little to no wait. It was delightful to get on three times....and since the queue is nothing special (if anything, it's much too dark...everyone was bumping into the railings...and when I say everyone, I mean the one or two people in front of us) we just ran right through it...I love Universal's coasters, and I find DC/DD to be a blast.
But I can see the issue of two out of the three rides in the land not operating as fully as they usually would.

My favorite ride is when you give the people in the front your ticket and you walk through that spinning thing and you hear a beep. And of course like all theme park rides, it leads you straight into something that makes you spend more money

They should probably have more advertising for DC and FotH in the land. FJ has a huge castle to draw in visitors. DC is hidden behind the village and FotH's entrance is hard to find.

So I'm looking through the Grand Opening thread to see what y'all were saying yesterday when I was there...saw a link to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXcPkBBh8UA
And what do you know...I'm in it XD I flipped out, but I'd already figured I'd be in at least one. I told my brother as we waited in line: "I'll bet we end up in ten videos, Chris."
I'm at about 32 or 33 seconds, hand on my hip, black shirt, black running shorts with white stripes.
Made my day!

--- Update ---

Just found myself in another video

OMG, you were way in front. I'm in 3:04 with the pinkish shirt, blue shorts, and glasses. Totally sunburned by the way.

Still trying to catch up with all the threads that I missed while I was in Florida.

I think that DC was the after-thought in this whole "upgrade." It was the middle child. FJ was the baby, FotH was the college grad getting a (very nice) care package in the mail that will feed them sugary goodies for quite awhile.

F*!$ Aquatica, the water is hot and smells like there is a gallon of chlorine in the whole park, and in the left wave pool, I saw a ton of crud... I'll be at Wetn'Wild, the theming is great and the effects are very fun. And their water is cold xD... Now, back on topic :) And please forgive my language.

Jymmy, are you filled with angst tonight? I asked you a question earlier, yet you did not answer.
