I'm curious if they'll take the same approach Ghiradelli did a few years ago and not have any peanuts or peanut butter in the restaurant. None of the items revealed so far have peanuts in them.

Very much so. Like going to a Ford dealership looking for the best deal on a used Chevy rather than the Chevy dealership.
Sometimes, places like these usually have gems not within the classification. ( Like Burger King selling Grilled Hot Dogs if thats what you like).

I guess a better question would be is/or has there been a menu released?

More like going to Burger King for Chicken Fries

Toothsome's is a full blown table service restaurant. They will have apps and entrees that don't have chocolate. I expect steak, pasta and seafood dishes. Also a full bar with specialty hand crafted cocktails. And desserts to die for.

I would love for them to have a cheese fondue appetizer. And I bet they have 4-5 chocolate fondues for dessert.

Chocolate isn't naturally sweet, so it can be used in a lot of unique ways that will blow people's minds. Even then, this will be the "cheesecake factory" like experience.

I'm really excited for this place to open. If the food comes close to matching the theming it should be a home run. Never visited NBA....definitely plan on visiting TCF. And I'm actually warming to the name after the initial shock wore off. ;)

You guys should try grated chocolate on top of chili next time you make it, instead of grated cheese.
I know it sounds ludicrous, but I tried it at a nice restaurant one time as a chefs flourish and it really is incredible!

I wonder if all the confusion with Willy Wonka had anything to do with this... And I'm assuming the plans for the exterior haven't changed to make it look less like a factory?

So ,name emphasis is now Chocolate Emporium. Toothsome is just in the background & Factory is gone. That's much better. :)

Yeah, I checked out the Universal blog. They even changed just the name on the original concept art. Good, I love the look they are going for with it.

That's kind of like saying "I don't like burgers, will Burger-Fi have something for me?"

Joking aside, I can imagine we'll see a few items that could work for ya.

yeah I definitely expect a Cheesecake Factory like menu with a wide range of options. I think we're taking the name too literal. Not to say they won't have a lot of chocolate featured foods but that's like saying you expect to have a cheesecake pasta or cheesecake stake at the Cheesecake Factory cause of the name lol

Uni board meeting:

Marketing guy: Boss, the Toothsome Chocolate Factory name isn't trending well in surveys. It's too confusing. Also, people are thinking it's Wonka.

Boss: OK change it to Toothsome Chocolate ....... Emporium. And cause we have extra budget to spend on names, but some more expensive words and add on like Savory Feast Kitchen. Yeah, that's ticket.

Marketing guy: Uh Boss, I thought we were trying to make it less confusing.

Boss: What do the rest of you think?

Yes Men: Sounds great Boss. Anything you say!

To be clear:

The name always had the "Savory Feast" subtitle. Officially, it was "Toothsome Chocolate Factory and Savory Kitchen Emporium" to "Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen".
