I don't know if I agree with that 100%. I mean, people preoccupation with chocolate and chocolate factories predates the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory book and subsequent movies. The book itself spawned from the authors own experience around them. I don't think this is Universal's way of trying to capitalize on the IP without actually using it, but rather a way to expand and target people's love and interest in the topic. The fact that so many want to link the restaraunt to the IP just goes to show you the timeless nature of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
