Three things.

1. Amazing photos!
2. Those are some big ass beams.
3. The shot with the excavator in mid-air seriously messed with my head for a second, till I saw the cables.

I am not sure those are construction beams... they are too small for this phase and also kind of used and rusty looking. They might be tool beams, meaning something like the braces for the portadam in the lagoon.

Yeah Teebin, I think those are H Beams used in a typical "beam & plate" shoring system. They will drive these into the ground, then put steel plates (or sometimes wood timbers) between them to hold back the soil so they can excavate. These have no effect on groundwater infiltration so thats probably why they are also using sheetpiles. Im not exactly sure why they are using both though...This is just an assumption. But it definitely isnt structural steel for the building itself.

For those of you that have attended the old Cinesphere 360 these units were used during the show. If you remember the scene when the underwater pyro went off and the ground shook in viewing areas near central park. These units were responsible for the ground movement. They are basically directions subwoofers aimed at the ground. Just think of them as very powerful speakers.

I am not sure if the are used during Cinematic Spectacular.

Bob, are these transducer units rather than subwoofers? (i.e. ButtKickers?)

Thanks, I could not remember what they are called. I was just equating them to subwoofers.

I just don't understand the logic. If you made the decision to greenlight this much visible construction during park hours, why not embrace it? We are building a wonderful new attraction, and while we can't release details on the specifics of the attraction, know that we are working faster than anyone in the industry to bring our guests the best experience possible.

BTW... The company digging holes behind Mummy isn't PCL (potter) it is Hensel Phelps (SS44). It appears something to do with drains or sewage possibly connected to the old SS44 location. So, no definite Hogwarts Express correlation just yet.

Great pictures HTF!... I did see a few OSHA infractions through those cracks. No wonder they are cuffing people and slamming them to the pavement. Hope that broken cheekbone mends fast! Damned coverup, that's what it is.

They should start up their own version of the Disney Parks Blog and post construction updates as a teaser to the announcement. Get lay people guessing. Start up a viral campaign. This thing opens next year, get the promotion machine rolling! Embrace the excitement.

Ugh. If only. Their Facebook is a start, but they don't realize what they're capable of.

It was taking me like 15 minutes just to clear new posts every hour! Losing my mind. If a poll pops up and I am subscribed to it. I will kill it!
