^ Well, they obviously haven't laid a full concrete slab yet. Not sure what is going on around the edges.

I just rode Transformers this past Friday, and I really hope that this IS NOT the new attraction. I was actually bored for the majority of the ride and felt it felt like I was riding a video game. Spiderman blows Transformers out of the water.......why would Universal build an inferior clone in the same resort?

Kong 360 on the other hand was great and exceeded my expectations!

I'd say you're probably in the vast minority there. Transformers has received basically universal rave reviews, and even beat out RSRs on Theme Park Insider's best of 2012 awards.

This is how I feel about the movies in general. I still think the ride looks fun, but I would definitly more excited if we were getting a Kong attraction instead, and I have been saying this for quite a while.

Title of the image below is "Mat Foundation for building below water". Might give us an idea of what to expect. I have no idea what VTU means.

I found Radiator Spring Racers to be far superior. Have you ridden Transformers yet? If you have ridden Spiderman, you will see how it pales in comparison when you do.

Not yet. But you're the first person I've read saying it pales in comparison. Many have said it's just as good, most have said it's better.

Read the ******** forums, the majority on there says that Spiderman blows it out of the water. There are no physical set interactions on Transformers, it is 98 percent video screens. Spiderman interacts with the environment and has a very cool fire effect to boot. It also has a much more coherent and complete storyline filled with colorful villains, where Transformers has video screen 1-Robots transform and fight, Video screen 2-repeat, video screen 3 repeat, etc.

It is a clone that is inferior, there is no reason to have to it on the same property.

Regardless of personal opinions, it has been a major attraction in two parks, and bringing it to orlando will make it a major attraction here as well.

I'm guessing that's the site that shall not be named run by a man named Lutz?

They hate everything. They don't count.

Similar, yet inferior. It would be like Disneyland adding Dinosaur to California Adventure, despite having the much superior Indy right across the way.

Utilizing the same ride tech in a different attraction with a different theme barely registers with ordinary guests. Radiator Springs Racers is Test Track with about a few billion more bells and whistles. A high tech dark ride won't appear as "Meh, it's just a Spider-Man clone" to the general population. They see it as a cool thing to do on their vacation.

With that argument, it invalidates those wanting Radiator Springs Racers to come to WDW since, after all, it is just Test Track with a different theme.

Some fair points but the difference that should be pointed out is with the examples you gave there are upgrades to the newer platform as an addition. An enhancement to a similar concept base. Where as with Transformers for people that have ridden both Spiderman and Transformers, Spiderman offers a much superior experience because it has live sets and animated gags/set pieces versus Transformers being mainly screen to screen.

Whoever said it would be like DCA adding Dinosaur with Indy next door, I would say that is a more fair comparison.

Considering TF got better reviews than RSR, I think the inferior argument is invalid. TF is obviously something of great quality.

Sure it is great quality. But nothing 'new' in experience for those who have been on Spiderman. Got to understand those were a vast majority of voters who have no idea what Spiderman is like. I don't think anyone is claiming that Transformers is not a good ride.

I think Dinosaur aka Countdown to Extinction is a great ride, but to someone who has been on Indy you hear nothing but complaints in comparison.
