Will the second floor be at grade and instead of going up to the second floor, the EVAC goes down to the first? It means a smaller visual footprint for the show building.

I doubt it. The Hollywood version had even more dug out.

I thought the Hollywood version was dug down around 9 or 10 feet and this appears to be more than double that. Then again we didn't have the greatest view of the HW version either. Regardless though I agree its to lower the building profile.

Hollywood had a 40' or deeper hole, however most I have talked too don't believe that had anything to do with the actual function or levels of the building. It was either infrastructure related or something else entirely.

Remember in Cali they have to OVER reinforce the buildings because of earthquakes, so its possible the deeper hole was for reinforment of the above ground structure.

Was in the park earlier today and they were jackhammering. The thing was loud, but it didn't seem to bother anyone. It will be interesting to see if they keep working during HHN or if they will have to shut it down and work only during the day.

I am thinking they continue construction during HHN with maybe he exception of peak nights. I remember them working on HRRR during HHN a few years ago.

I hope they continue during HHN. There won't be any real scarezones in the area, so they won't have to worry about noise intrusion with them.

And even then, loud sounds and bangs won't be that out of place.

I was there a week ago and watched the water screen show.
The workers were done and out of there before dark.None of the pics show big light carts for them to work all (or late)night. So I would think by the time of Night HHN starts rocking
the workers are gone.

I bet they tied rebar at night. Quiet and beats doing it in the blistering Florida sun.

While I was there a few weeks ago, they did work at night. Also, with the WWOHP coming to Hollywood, wouldn't it make sense for Transformers to be coming over here(besides permits)? Kind of like something to shut us up for the island not being exclusive anymore. Or a substitution if you will. TF for WWOHP.

When I was there about a week ago, work was being done at night. They stopped shortly for CineSpec, but resumed shortly after.

This exactly. It's happened the last few time I've stayed for CineSpec. They stop about 15min before the show and start again about 15min after the show.
