Rumor Alert!
Now as for Project 007, well lets just say I'm a little disappointed by what was told to me. Despite everything that was told to me over the past few months it seems Monsters may stay?

Disappointing, but a lot less surprising to me now with the knowledge of the somewhat limited exterior work. It doesn't seem like they're willing to go all in with the themed environment on this one. Which for them, while frustrating to us, makes sense. They've already built this thing twice very successfully and there's no need to stray much from the model.

So if there is anyone here who starts seeing Transformers showing up on the maps, please share so we can high tail it down there so we can get our very own first sets of Transforners maps!

I would image Universal would announce something new for the Universal monsters before changing up Monsters Cafe. After all Universal loves their monsters, and they have to be in the park, aside from Bettlejuice.

well to be fair, the old SS44 building "stuck out" as well, it just wasn't nearly as big

I think they may be adding something to the side to sell Energon. All the work that has occurred thusfar has been in a small area between Shrek and Monsters/SS44

It makes sense. We don't need a Transformers restaurant. We just need Energon!

I'd be okay with Monsters Cafe staying :thumbs: It's a beautifully themed restaurant and although it wasn't there on opening day it's been in that spot long enough to warrant it's place. Unlike Captain America at IOA Monsters stays busy on the crowded days.

Ok so tonight I found out through sources at work that are VERY credible that the following is going to happen:


Jaws/Amity will be a ride attraction that is once again revolving around Harry Potter.

The next project following that will be the demolition of Soundstage 44 and Monster Cafe...pretty much that whole block. Now whats going there is yet to be confirmed, BUT my strong suspicion would be Transformers and the reason being is that since USF is themed, the best most suitable place for Transformers would be near Hollywood. T2 rumors have been flying as to it being replaced, but that building just isnt big enough for a major attraction and no talk as to the replacement is happening anytime soon. The construction going on where the old Hard Rock Cafe used to be is said to be some new trailers and buildings for Entertainment dept. Also, Fear Factor is said to be going back to Wild West Show. The lagoon is also said to be in early stages of development of another show. And a side note, IOA Lost Continent is about to go bye bye and WWOHP will be extended through into that area.


I am 99.9% sure of my words here...I said it, you heard it...and im going to continue to bring info as I hear it. Look for SS44 and the rest of that block to be gone before the end of 2012.

haha it was kind of fun to read back on this thread. This was the first mention of Transformers, and alot of this was pretty spot on considering this was posted back in Dec 2011.

Sounds reasonable and likely to me. Although I'm believing less and less that Transformers will come to USF.

For a while I don't think many of us thought Transformers would actually open in Orlando, but then the second those walls went up around SS44 90% of people realized what was going there.

That's really all I wanted although I thought it would've been sweet to see Monster's Cafe transformed! But really, Energon looks delicious!
