Ooooohhhh one of the show rooms! Exactly what I wanted to see. Crazy it was still together. I see speakers and lighting. Did you notice seats or anything? Anyone got more?

that's the best I got since so many TMs are near by... and by the time I return it will probably be leveled...

Amazing how concerned they are about air borne contaminates. It's raining yet they still wet it down. Is that an OSHA rule or just left to contractors and/or Uni?

I know there were always rumors of that building having Asbestos problems. But I never believed them because most of that was discontinued as building materials in the 70s.

The hosing I think is a general rule of good practice for any demo around the public for dust debris.


And the seats I believe were one of the only things ripped out of the old show areas years ago due to the Haunted House floorplans that took place there in 2004. It is amazing to look at that and just have a brief nostalgia slap at the old theaters

Asbestos wasn't actually banned until 1989, and it is possible, however unlikely, that there could have been some used in that building. Specifically in the roofing materials.

It was also used in flooring, it was in just about everything.

if you look at some of the interior walls before they took them down... they look pretty new to me, that and the instillation still looks pretty fluffy for a building that was condemned after the hurricanes...

I don't see how they could possibly have anything built and ready for guests by Sept., especially something 60' tall. So I am seriously doubting the year-round Universal's Monsters house.

Hmm, a ruse. Not uncommon. A way to play slight of hand and also nail people who leak information, especially ahead of Potter. Very interesting.
