Personally, I'm thinking maybe they will create an elaborate exhibit focusing on the history of both Universal the park and Universal the studios. They could display props from films and from rides that have been closed. I'm thinking a larger and more elaborate version of what is found in the Horror Make-up show lobby and Lucy, except it won't just focus on horror. Like, you'd start out in a theater where they would show you a film that introduces you to the exhibit and explains the history of universal, then it would let out into a museum/exhibit of Universal.

I was thinking that USF should do that for some time too, but with the Jaws photo-op moved to San Francisco, it makes the possibility seem a lot less likely.

Sorry, there's no way they're rushing to build a museum.

I would be okay with it if there was a heavy representation by the 1974/75 Philadelphia Flyers.

As for TF, they can't dig down as much as they did in Hollywood due to the water table, if I had to guess. That means the building would have to be pretty tall in the direct center of the park and seen from all sides. They'd either have to spend a tone of money to theme it, or we'd have a giant ugly box in the center of the park.

What makes you think that they dug down to create a basement for Transformers? Yeah, there was a big hole there during construction but that could have been for a hundred different reasons. Is there any description that suggests that people go 'downstairs' to board the ride vehicles? The ride lifts don't necessarily require a basement at all.

They don't? I could have sworn they did. I dunno. They needed it for something because I'm looking at construction updates now and there is definitely wall looking things built down there.

And even then, it'll still be a 60-65 foot tall building they'll need to theme from all sides.

If you look closely at those photos, you will also see that the original concrete wall pylons go quite deep too. Keep in mind that it is earthquake prone California. Must large foundations be built deep? I don't know either but I also don't see why it would be necessary for the attraction itself to build that deep.

Ok no riddles here... just me guessing. Could Disneyhead's rumor and conjecture on the possible ruse both be true even if not the same location. Many were hoping for something like this before last weeks revelations. Perhaps one modified building sitting next to a different severely modified building. I wonder...

Excuse my loss of understanding, PCL is a construction company...what kind of insight or answers does it give us?

The question was posted in this thread by mistake. It was my intent to post it in another thread. Doesn't mean anything in this thread.
