Don't know if I am more excited for eating in Springfield, or riding Transformers this weekend!

I know it might not mean anything for us, but were the softs for the other versions pretty consistent?

From what I remember, yes they were.

Haha, I think I know who you're talking about. :)

I'm officially at 22 rides now. I think most of the NEST solidiers that work at the ride know me by now. :P

Nice, I only squeezed in 8 over TM previews.

The ride is indeed incredibly overwhelming and perfect for our Adderall-popping generation, but I think once we all get over the initial excitement of a new attraction, we'll be resentful that it's basically a gag-for-gag recreation of Spider-Man (as others have mentioned).

I mean...
--Talking about "trouble" in the first scene
--A character jumping on your hood in the first scene
--A character moving from screen to screen by walking on the pipes above you
--A character grabbing your front bumper
--The freefall at the end
--and on and on

They say great artists steal, but you don't gotta be so OBVIOUS about it :)

The creators of Spider-Man are either ridiculously offended, or extremely flattered. I'm not sure which of the two I would be...

i am kind of sad to see that they have borrowed so much from spiderman, but until i see for myself what they have done with the ride system i will reserve judgement.

On the other hand, does anyone who has been on the ride think that it could have benefited from a different ride tech? Perhaps loan a few kuka arms from forbidden journey...?

We've known the flow of the story since it opened way back in Singapore and more recently in Hollywood. Are people NOW learning to adjust their expectations?

as far as that particular aspect (the seeming adaptation of the spiderman sequence), it shouldn't really matter. If they execute it well and deliver thrills and environments that awe us in new and clever ways then, god forbid, clone T2 and give us a SHOW!

Actually, there's a perfect sequence where it's identical.

You face a villain that uses a water effect, which is followed by a villain smashing though a wall to get to you, and then a projectile is launched at the vehicle, not to mention lifted and being drug through the air sequentially by 2 seperate villains.

For those who want to see the entire queue video, here's Hollywood's queue filmed in six portions. Of course, if you don't want spoilers, I suggest not watching.

We were already told this was going to be a much crazier Spider Man but with Transformers. So why are some people acting like they didn't expect this or are upset by this? I'm just extremely happy we even got it in Orlando considering we already have a killer attraction like Spider Man. The bottom line is its not Spider Man its Transformers lol I can see maybe it being a tad annoying if it was in IOA or like right next to it or something. But probably not even then would it really bother me.

Exactly. This is a nice upgrade for Singapore and Hollywood, but I'm pretty sure Florida fans wouldn't be that surprised or impressed. After all, it is a slightly downgraded version of Spiderman.

I think the hype surrounding this may have been too high.

Don't get me wrong though, I haven't even rode it yet and I'm really stoked to experience it. But we knew it was going to be a lot similar to Spider Man, which is okay by me.

I am not disappointed at all, just a little surprised at HOW similar to Spider-man it is. It goes beyond using the same ride system and 3D integration. They use a lot of the same action, effects, audio cues, and vehicle motion.

that said, it is still an amazing attraction. And a wonderful bonus E Ticket while we wait for Potter.

In the early days of softs, they normally only open towards the end of the day. So most likely not (although not impossible), unless you stay for the whole day. However I am not an expert on this and someone may prove me wrong.

Always a chance now. Since I got to ride last night, I'm now considering hanging out again today for a different kind of soft opening. [HASHTAG]#Duff[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#KrustyBurger[/HASHTAG]

(Yes, I've heard it's a done deal for tomorrow, but just in case...I'm free today)
