Everyone, what Bob meant to say by that listing of equipment on the truck: "Those are serious construction fittings designed to build a mega-structure, the likes of which Florida has never seen. The pile drivers are something used to build a structure with the strength of Fort Knox and the Chrysler Building combined... epic and ominous in structural integrity. The wonders of modern construction have yet to yield their unimaginable magic."

One more question....Does anyone have any "behind the scenes" pics of the the elevators themselves. It looks like there is a giant screen mounted on the inside of them? It would be interesting to see how they're designed.

No one has been clear about this and I don't believe anyone really knows. Either the projector travels on the elevator or the live set is built on one side. So, travel on screen or travel on set... not sure which it is. Bueller?, Bueller?, Bueller?...

The crane is NOT as tall as Rockit's lift, it only looks that way from certain perspectives, but when you are there it is obvious it is not as high. Still damn big, though.

I'm not sure what you're saying. But I'm almost certain each car travels through the ride in the exact same fashion.

Sorry for the sloppiness of the picture. This is what I meant.

So what you're saying, is that it's going to be a haunt. And on the second floor, it's going to be based on the film Seven. The gluttony guy will housed on the second floor, justifying the mega structure. Boxes will be appropriately sold in the gift shop along with Kevin Spacey action figures.

I needed that. I'm currently have a head-bangingly frustrating discussion about this topic with someone who just doesn't get it.

"What's in the box" is from Seven.

The discussion I'm having is on another site.

I do believe that may be sheet pile drivers on the flatbed.

Left = Crane or excavator mounted pile driver.
Center = Mobileram pile driver. This mounts on a specialty track vehicle that has yet to arrive on site.
Right = Driver power unit.

OF, can you confirm this.

I think you are correct...It looks like the item on the left is a hydraulic grip that grabs the sheetpiles to be driven. Center is def a sheet pile driver for a mobilram system. Right is a diesel generator with hydraulic pump.

Were these delivered to the 609 site or Amity? Not sure why theyd be driving sheetpiles on 609.

Oh no... not sheetpiles (and yeah... it is for 609)... stop saying that. It screams deep hole and I have fought that idea tooth and nail. Broken man here if true...

Upon entering, the vehicle either faces left or right (depending on which lift it is sent to.) The screen is curved, and surrounds the lift platform, stretching from the bottom of the first floor to the top of the second floor. The projector is mounted on the lift platform, and therefore moves with the car. There is no live set in the shaft.

Thanks... but just checking... you know this for fact? It is the only thing that makes sense to me.

It's been described in this fashion by many of the fan websites for the west coast parks, and semi confirmed by my inside source. I can't think of any other practical way to have the projector move with the vehicle than to actually move with the vehicle, lol.

If it makes sense, it's probably true.
