Could it be that they are going that literal on replicating the plans from Hollywood?
Probably. That is how literally the attraction at Universal Studios Singapore was replicated. (The attraction was initially designed for Universal Studio Hollywood, then cloned and built first at Universal Studios Singapore.)

I have a question though. Maybe someone knows the answer. I looked at the blackout dates for APs next year and something struck me as really odd. All of July is blacked out....only in the Universal Studios park and NOT IOA  Do any of yous (yes i wrote yous...get over it lol) think UC is pushing for a July 1st opening date just based on this?

Universal is pushing for earlier than that.

And hopefully that will happen  the only problem I really have with HHN is the soundstage 44 site being lit up after dark. I know Universal wants their crew working 24/7 but the glaring white lights kind of pull your mind out of the event...even temporarily. It'llbe nice when there is a building there and that part of the park can be dark again. :)

You are looking at the ground floor. The bacement is under the steel you see in this pic. Note the hole down on the left:

Interesting because that's not how it looks, but of course pictures are deceiving. Good to see all this progress in such a short period of time.

At USH and Singapore, the maintenance bay is on the first level with the load area and queue. The "basement" you guys pointed out is actually OUTSIDE the ride building perimeter.

Wow, how did you find this out? Do you have copies of the plans for those two locations?

^Kinda. Let's just say it's a pretty small maintenance bay, tucked away in the corner.

It is interesting that the ride path (even though I am not sure what I am seeing is it) would be poured prior to the rest of the floor. Perhaps it is a more substantial pour and substructure than the rest of the building?

Perhaps we should look for mega rebar on the second floor following a path?

All of Universal's dark rides have a separate running surface from the main floor of the building.

Interesting that one cannot see any difference in the surface. The floor all looks continuous, especially in the FJ photos.

It's just really, really close. Since we're talking about FJ, you can clearly see the panels that the wheels run on. If you look about 2 inches to the outside, you can see a tiny gap where the trackbed ends and the building floor begins.

Take a look at this:

http://www.themeparkinsider.com/art/news/ush-transformers-walk.jpg

The guy in the black shirt is standing right on the line. The guy in the red is standing on the trackbed.

You can also see it in this pic as well:

None of the regulars have been to the parks dayside. Everyone waits until the HHN event nights to get their fix. Expect updates to be somewhat slacking during HHN. It's like this every year.

@orlando_parks was at Uni today and spotted a "New Fantasyland" sticker on a worker's hardhat.

Some workers currently involved in the Transformers project at USF also work in the New Fantasyland! Quite interesting.

^Yeah pretty much. The building could be half finished any day now at the rate they're going!
