It seems to be getting worse as I get older.
If I go on FJ the dome sequences make me ill. If I close my eyes during those parts I'm ok.
Spinners are right out.
The scariest ride at WDW for me was not Alien Encounter.
Its the teacups.

BY The way sorry this isn't directly related to transformers, for the thread leaders.

But for me Themeparkvigilante and my g/f who I go with, we eat before we go on. It's best to do something in your stomach. it's suggested not to go on a coaster on an empty stomach. This allows for your body's signals between perception and actual location while moving pertaining to light and sound to become mixed, thus making you feel sick in a result because your body can't handle the mix up. eating something helps solidify the stability your body has to deal with the perception vs reality thing while riding on anything dealing with motion and g forces. Don't go overboard though, just put something in your stomach. Stay away from as many acid things as possible while visiting theme parks as this doesn't help. Things like oatmeal, water, apple juice, etc.

I had to close my eyes on Spiderman. I miss the whole thing basically but I understand what you mean. See I want to ride transformers and be okay. But it has been said the older you get the worse it may become so, might just be out of luck. If anything else you can try try it! Transformers is going to be awesome!

Thanks -
For some reason Spider-man is not too bad for me...except the spinning part.
So hopefully TF won't be either.
Someone who has ridden it already...Does it spin like Spider-man?

For those talking about Motion Sickness, I will say simulators have made me queazy before. My very first ride on the FJ made me dizzy but I literally jumped right back in line and was fine the following ride. I basically told my body to man up, this is the FJ damn it!

As for Transformers if you get queazy on Spider-Man your screwed on TF's. After my first ride I was sick to my stomach. The sheer amount of screens mixed with NON STOP action sequences will play hell on your senses. I highly recommend a little Dramamine if your susceptible to motion sickness.

Well, it's not as ugly as USH... but still ugly. I get the vibe they're going for... it just clashes with everything else around it.

Paint makes a world of difference. I'm optimistic so far, because I know the best is yet to come.

Anyone have insight on the conduit supports; those black bars? Does this suggest that something larger will be going in that location, to cover up the bars? A junction box? Right now, the bars look hoinky.

Well it looks like I was right about them painting a white border along the top. A world of difference between this & just the flat grey walls, cant wait for the finished product!

The giant figures are something I do not think will help. I may be wrong, but so far it's not living up to the caliber of placemaking that Universal is capable of achieving.

The junction boxes were very poorly done throughout the queue at Universal Studios Hollywood. There were visible gaps between the conduit and the boxes, so you could see that nothing was inside the conduit and nothing could enter the boxes.

The conduit supports are called "Unistrut" (I mentioned it earlier in the thread). At this time I believe there will be nothing else attached to the Unistrut, I could be wrong. We'll have to wait and see.

Everyone seems to be complaining about the facade...I haven't really read any good alternatives though. What would be an acceptable facade? I'm trying to use the creative part of my mind to imagine a good facade to fit in with the area and I just can't imagine anything.

An exterior similar to the NEST building from ROTF as many have mentioned that's what they thaught that's the look they are /should be going for.

But shouldnt most of you be happy, as it REALLY seems unlikely at this point there wont be any ugly murals like USH at least!

I for one am excited for it, it's certainly way more than I couldve ever expected or imagined, but alas, they could make the exterior of the building hot pink for I all I care, to me its what's inside that counts!

I like it, dont get me wrong. I just dont under why they didnt do like a coat of paint around the exterior first. It just looks weird having the basic gray panels.

^ The problem with that is then it really is pointless to spend a lot of money dressing up show buildings. Might as well have a real studio park with nothing but large soundstages.

I said it a few weeks ago, I don't think a soundstage is really that bad of an approach for this side of the park. It really isn't. It isn't for USH. The issue is the plot they placed it on relative to the size of surrounding themed buildings. If this was built in Nick's old footprint, I don't think anyone would care.
