Transformers: The Ride - Summer 2013

HTF, have you heard of any plans to do a big rig style show for the opening? Any theatrics with cars at all?

I would love that! The opening of Transformers in Hollywood was as good as any stunt show I've ever seen. So much could be done with the surrounding New York facades, as well as the lagoon, in terms of stunts.

By the way, in terms of music being played outside, here is a list of what I think I heard outside of the Transformers building, and the music is at a great volume so you can hear it all around the building making it seem very cool!

Those last two I definitely heard last week.. Exciting times for those of us that have been around long enough to have seen Murder She Wrote here in this same spot. I'll admit I thought the characters would be a bit bigger (considering scale), but they do look awesome and I can't wait to see them in person :thumbs:

I believe he was saying that they don't appear movie sized. Hopefully, the anticipated building topper will counter that.

I think this may have been asked already, but does anyone here know what the entrance to this will look like? Will it have 2-D figures of Transformers like the one in Hollywood or will it be different compared to that?

We know that there will be a full-sized three-dimensional Optimus standing atop the entrance to the ride (not a cut-out). I imagine the building will look essentially like it does now, maybe a few more minor details added......there could be more I suppose, but my gut is saying no. I guess we'll see.

I actually have most of the songs you posted on my ITouch, just missing 2: NEST, and Seduction/Escaping Alice.

I know they are not actually movie sized but neither are the Minions or The Lorax, I was just saying they are very cool in person and look great. And NEST is a great song, I added all of them to my Universal Studios playlist on my iPhone. :dance:

Optimus in the movies is 28 feet tall. Bumblebee, depending on which links you click on google, is between 16 and 18 feet tall. Megatron, is 34 feet tall.

Thanks! Interesting to see the fabric collar in the neck area and the bony knees of the actor. The bend at the elbow must be controlled by hands in the upper arm.

Only 8 months and 3 weeks untill i can ride transformers and have a nice vacation away from new jersey and its horrible weather.
