There are a lot of factors that play into these costs and sure, there are ways to lower it, but I can tell you that one of the shows down the street that she worked on had a media cost in the teens of millions range for what was about 45 secons total of completely new media. 45 seconds goes a long way when edited into the overall show, but yes.
