The concept art, under the fireworks, made it look like one big building, but there does appear to be two separate structures.

I see, lots of info to remember these last few days with this so probably got lost in the thick of it all. Still interested to see how that all works

Edit: While hot colored in (which should’ve been my clue) I thought the end of the theatre and the French Ministry were still in the same with that one black line connecting the two of them, but I obviously don’t read this things as well as y’all haha

My guess is that line is a flat facade with a team member access gate in it, to give the illusion of the structures connecting.

That would make some sense for sure! I took it as a literal connection between the building, and the outline of the French and British Ministry were for those 2 parts of the building specifically.

Also, just based on surface level info/natural potential ride ideas, a British Ministry ride sounds like a type of experience (along with Mario Kart) that could compete with Rise not only based on iconic/beatiful locations, tech, and potential for immersive stroytelling. There are soooo many directions I feel they can go here. I really hope the British Ministry ride is that ToT type patent, where its like the first part of the ride. Seems like how the elevators really worked in the British Ministry so lets do it.

For the purposes of theme park design, Mario is Mario is Mario. They’re not going to create a whole new sub-land that features all the same characters in the main land with a different aesthetic. That’s redundant and would confuse less informed guests.

Yea. And with limited space , something like Pokemon or Zelda to expand SNW is going to draw in more guests.

Plus it sounds like we're getting a pretty broad range of Mario's games in the land already.

The Yohsi dark ride
The play areas/boss battles will represent the platformers

They're doing a pretty all encompassing job of representing Mario

I can easily see them spreading Nintendo around the other parks if the other IP can easily be self contained.

Potter and Star Wars really do say that it’s not a non-option. And the thought of having “two Marios” is similar in the way that Mickey can have modern/zany and classic/heroic looks in the same park. It could even be a similar conceit: step into a Mario 64-style painting and into the world of Paper Mario.

All I’ve heard is that the expansion between Nintendo and Monsters is earmarked for more Nintendo, which would bring the land to the around the same size as the other lands, as it’s a bit small in its original form. I have no idea what property or rides it would be though. Some folks I’ve talked to have guessed maybe Pokemon. But I’m not sure even Universal knows yet for sure, I’ve just heard they’re saving it for Nintendo. (They have more expansion on the right for non-Nintendo properties later too.)

I could certainly see that as a possibility

I assume Nintendo is going to do well enough to warrant a land in each park

But by then, they may have more reason to build a Trolls land or some other property

If they don’t have a first aid station in the land themed to Dr. Mario, then all this is for nothing.

But how many Mickey Mouse rides are there in that resort, let alone the one park? And, frankly, I don’t think there’s as big a visual difference between “new Mickey” and “classic Mickey as people want to believe there is.

Potter and Star Wars are all “one world, one aesthetic.” The timeline for Potter is a little inconsistent, but timelines are easily fudge. Mickey is, definitively, “one world, slightly different aesthetic.” And besides, there’s only one Mickey ride.

Paper Mario would be “two worlds, two aesthetics.” There’s a lot argument and belief that the Paper Mario series is not canon with the platformers (like it matters). But the platformers are the mainline story that the Mario Karts, Parties, and — most importantly— SNW are a part of. It would actually be like Disney building a Tom Holland Spider-Man attraction in the same land as a Tobey Maguire attraction.
