Without locals the park would mostly be dead, HHN would also be mostly empty and you could not do Fan fest because most people can't fly out for a One Piece meet and greet.
I don't need a new ride every year....literally said they could update dreamwork theater, I mean Dreamworks makes 2 films a year its not like they don't have things to put in that theater. I'm literally settling for a street take over for Wicked instead of a land and big E ticket...not because USH can't do it but the people in charge clearly don't want to
If USH struggled after SNW then I would get it but it did not it was on every earning report and then they took this hot park and.....added nothing new big for 3 years yeah I don't get it
Escially when I see the other parks, people in Orlando I think have nothing to be upset about besides getting Epic Universe which will be a next gen theme park like one of the best in the world out of the gate that resort got 3 new shows last summer....a parade, an amazing nighttime show and the new castle show which lets be real....no and I mean NO reason it was not here at USH as well
Anyway, the park is how it is because of how they use it....there is nothing but themselves in the way from making this park just amazing. Many rides like Transformers and mummy are ready to be replaced and if they just move the tram that alone makes room for 3 new lands and not at once but you start at the Tram loading area with a land and move on...not even affecting the studios for years to come.
I posted my smaller Idea for Wicked because if that doesn't happen...I don't see any other way it happening unless they go with Wicked over Pokemon for Simpsons land which would both be cool but also lose them a ton of money.....I mean honestly every day Pokemon is not in USH they are losing millions a year.....if people want to see what I'm talking about look at how much the Pokemon trading card game has made in less then a month
We've gone down this road before, man. This is the last time I'm going to do this.

Absolutely, let me just turn over the internal data that guides practically every decision that the park makes that totally isn't proprietary. Come on. There's a reason they're thinking about
investing in a hotel. It's a single park. Their primary goal is to capture tourists who are in Los Angeles/California as part of a broader vacation. There are absolutely efforts to engage locals (like the ones I just talked about), but it's not the main aim.

Updating the Dreamworks Theater with a new ride film is literally a new attraction. The amount of money it would take to animate the new film, secure the talent, and reprogram the seats is consistent with the budget of a new attraction. Dreamworks making two new films each year isn't at all relevant. They're separate teams and expenditures. As for a street takeover... you mean the themed shop, retheme of a restaurant, and massive merch push Wicked is getting? What are you actually asking for? And don't put words in the mouth of the people in charge. I'm sure they would love to add new experiences left and right, but they live in reality where things cost money, time, and effort they don't necessarily have.
If USH struggled after SNW then I would get it but it did not it was on every earning report and then they took this hot park and.....added nothing new big for 3 years yeah I don't get it
This is where it really seems like you just don't understand the fundamentals of business and investment. If your park is already doing very well with no signs of slowing, you don't necessarily have to aggressively invest in it. Despite the success of Super Nintendo World, they are... still building a giant, world-class prototype coaster at considerable expense, which will open around the time when the general public will have cycled through Super Nintendo World as the new hot thing!
Escially when I see the other parks, people in Orlando I think have nothing to be upset about besides getting Epic Universe which will be a next gen theme park like one of the best in the world out of the gate that resort got 3 new shows last summer....a parade, an amazing nighttime show and the new castle show which lets be real....no and I mean NO reason it was not here at USH as well
Genuinely don't fully know what you're trying to say here. Grammatically, I can't follow it. From what I can understand, Orlando is a different market with different investment priorities and infrastructure. Universal Studios Hollywood can't support a parade or fireworks, and you know that, so I have no idea why you're bringing it up. I hear the argument on the castle show, but Orlando's show infrastructure underwent significant upgrades (that left them without a show at all for many months) that I don't believe Hollywood has yet to receive. It isn't always as simple and plugging and playing, which is something you'd understand if you'd ever worked in the upper management levels of a theme park or in theme park design and execution (I've done the latter).
Anyway, the park is how it is because of how they use it....there is nothing but themselves in the way from making this park just amazing. Universal Studios Hollywood is an excellent, world-class park. It has some weaknesses (currently, a lack of live entertainment), but it isn't not-great just because you go all the time and are bored with it. You've entered magical roller coaster tycoon thinking if you think they can plop three full-sized themed lands into an extremely landlocked park just by moving the tram tour loading area.
They did stuff for Wicked! You make me feel like I'm going insane here! If the movies are sustained smash hits that continue to drive interest and sell merchandise beyond their initial release windows, you bet Universal will look at a more permanent attraction or experience, just like they've done with just about every adaptable theme park-friendly franchise
ever. You just want instant gratification! And here we are again with the interminable "Universal Studios should just become a Nintendo park so they can make all the money and they're really stupid if they don't do that" rhetoric that needs to stop. It's not productive, it's not realistic, it's not happening. Enough.
