Don't know if we're supposed to take the reports of "digging behind Mummy" literally, but I'm trying to avoid doing school work, so here we go:

HogwartsExpressSwitchLocation.png

There was talk of having a switch along the way so more than one train could operate on the track. Looking at Google Earth, the space behind the Mummy is the largest on the proposed route and is about halfway between Hogsmeade Station and Platform 9 3/4.

There is approximately 2040 ft between the 2 stations.

That sounds about right where the switch would've been to be honest.

I just want an announcement already

Did Briman ever answer whether or not he saw a curve in the rebar for the new wall they were building? By curve I meant horizontal curve.

Nope, didn't notice a curve, but I also didn't really focus to see if it was straight or not. I'll make sure when Andrew heads out there next he checks it out.

Sorry it took so long to answer, since I was in Orlando this weekend, I was rarely on the computer.

I'm sure it will be Univeral's counter to Disney's Pop Century DVC announcement.

Well, I didn't get in on the street debate, but I would like to point out that entry to Diagon Alley will be controlled just like it was (still is?) at Hogsmeade.

Also, I seem to remember that one of JKs requirements for Diagon Alley (this being 5 or so years ago) was that everyone goes through a brick tapping ceremony to get in (you know, 3rd brick from the left and something up...). I think it was Disney's plans that called for 4 simultaneous entry rooms to get people in faster because everyone had to go through that to be authentic?

A new twist on the pics Disneyhead got at Nassal last week. Could they be building Hogwarts for Japan or USH? The dormers and windows, like Teebin said, resemble Hogwarts more than St. Pancras. Or, they could be building molds to be sent to the people in California/Japan.

The dome, however, is definitely for Gringotts.

There's no way they'll be able to do the brick tapping thing. The line would be 4 hours just to get into the land.

It appears they might try something funky for the entrance. Maybe 75-100 people at a time and a quick Ollivander's style routine. By quick I mean 15 seconds. My brain has tried out numerous concepts. But I doubt there will be dancing bricks.

Yes you're not a dancing monkey, but for immersion purposes I'll take 15 seconds of something cool instead of nothing at all.

Even 15 seconds will make a line crazy long. Just let me go into the land.

Also, whoever is voting on all these years-gone polls and bumping them...STOP.

They'll be plenty of cool stuff inside the land. Waiting in a crazy long line for a 15 second bit isn't worth it.

Can we all just marvel for a second at the fact that two theme parks will be interconnected by a themed train/attraction for the first time since ever?

Am I the only past Uni team member that's clueless how they're going to cram a FRICKIN' TRAIN backstage between UO and IOA? Look at the park on Google Maps - there is no room back there. God help 'em.
