Going by this rumor I made a little map of where everything could go. As you can see from the first image, there is PLENTY on room for Phase 2 and LC to still remain.

I'm thinking we could go a bit further with this... You've got it a bit tighter than it could be (even though that's exactly as Diagon Alley should be!), I'm really thinking one of the minor attractions could be a Hogwarts Express simulator.

The only way they won't completely ruin The Leaky Cauldron is if they allow a bypass into Diagon Alley. I don't care if it's not accurate, I don't want what is supposed to be a small cafe turned into a highway.

There's no way they'd do that. It'd be a firehazard and a nightmare.

I agree with this but at the same time were talking about a themepark. No matter how its done the area will be like I4 at 4 PM on a Friday during the summer and Christmas time periods.

So let's get those imagination juices flowing. Gringotts coaster: wild mouse or something else?

Wild mouse. Hmmmm. Fits in tight spaces. Quick in and out. Spins for everyone to see everything. Low maintenence. Out of the Box Coaster. Easily themed to a old mine cart. And Potter doesn't have a "Family ride" besides Hippogriff (only 2 per seat) which everyone complains is too short. And what a shot going to Disney that Universal would have a mouse ride.

I think that's the only possible way they COULD make the Leaky Cauldron work... Wouldn't it really be a fire hazard if the only real way to get through to Diagon Alley and out was through a single building?
However, I don't honestly think that would matter - It's "THE" original entrance to Diagon Alley, the first experience that Harry really had in the Wizarding World... The cafe will be crowded depending on how they work it out...

You could always have two sections of The Leaky Cauldron. One the restaurant, the other a seperate path, adjacent to the restaurant but not in the restaurant, leading to the brick wall. Overall, I really like Gambit's map.

Not to be a Debbie Downer... please understand that based on my knowledge, NOTHING FINAL has been signed-off on any of this; no guarantee that this will happen. It is being planned in great detail, but loans, execution contracts, legal stuff; it hasn't even gotten close to that yet from my understanding (which is vague at best) but it is still in a positive yet blue sky situation.

I am just cautioning that something such as another terrorist attack or severe recession could stop all of this in it's tracks. I am attempting to clarify that all of that legal/execution/loan stuff is the very last thing to happen a few months before announcement. And I like most do not see such an announcement for at least 1-2 years.

I just want everyone to know that just because something never happens on a phase 2 does not mean that it wasn't being planned for at the present time.

If phase II is even half as awesome as the rumors are, Disney better bring out the big guns. Space Mountain to incorporate Mars Needs Moms anyone?....

I saw it, and it is pretty cool stuff, but so far from what I believe them to be building that i really didn't have much to say about it. Bu it is a nice plan.

That would be about as relevant as Countdown to Extinction becoming Dinosaur. Or in other words, promoting a movie that nobody saw.

I downloaded the model. Very cool. Although I'm not sure about the Weasley's house being right there but oh well.

Earlier I mentioned the I thought a Gerstlauer Eurofighter in Gringott's would be cool. But I just found a different ride system that I would LOVE to see them use. An S&S El Loco Coaster.
