My best guess of the Gringotts storyline:

The Goblins are depositing/withdrawing currency out of some important character's vault (likely Bellatrix Lestrange) and YOU are tasked with retrieving a vital item. On your way down you hear the sounds of the dragon. Instantly, the thief's downfall happens and the train plummets to the ground below. The spell "Aresto Momentum" is cast, slowing down the falling train before it crashes into the rocks. Looking up, you see the dragon being pushed back by the noise-makers. The train enters the Lestrange vault but accidentally knocks a goblet off of a nearby table. Just like in the film, the goblet multiplies and you begin to feel suffocated by the amount of towering items all around you. Miraculously, you are able to retrieve the important item. However, the goblins are now nowhere to be found. As you exit the vault a fire blast hits the wall next to you. Somehow, the train is able to get onto the track once again and we return to the station.


Now obviously, that has many loose ends, but what ride's storyline doesn't?

The leaked plans involve going into Gringott's to reach the vault of Sirius Black. It also mentions the possibility of Harry/Ron/Hermione appearing in a battle with Voldemort. I doubt any of the trio actors would film anything new for this ride. However, I wouldn't be surprised if fringe characters appear in new footage (like the goblin actor, or Voldemort). They can also use movie footage or CGI to show glimpses of main characters, but I doubt they will have a major role in the attraction. I do think Voldemort will appear in the ride, even if he's just computer generated. I think the overall leaked plans about the expansion will prove to be accurate, but details such as the plot of the ride could change significantly. If we're lucky, maybe the main character actors will at least do some voice work to add to the ride.

Voldemort's a no-no, Jo never wanted him in the original WWoHP, and I doubt that's changed. I'm sure they could get Dan, Rupert, and Emma to film something, especially for the right price.

Had the chance to talk to a GC for the resort today. He seemed pretty potter-illiterate but mentioned the Forbidden Forest, as well as HE as a backstage transport system. He mainly works on refurbing existing rides but was definitely assured of potter 2.0 and transformers. Not sure how Uni is going to keep this all secret until an announcement. Was interesting hearing about the politics of the resort and just how much the resort is changing.

They just have to keep it secret from the majority of people, so when announcements are made people want to come back. They have no intention of keeping this a complete secret, since that's impossible, but just secret enough.

Also, tell us more about the internal politics please.

Mainly what he told me was how many permits have to be filed (which most of you have already seen) just to get these projects going. There's huge change going on, and the resort is growing ridiculously fast. I just found it interesting how much the park is going to change!

No details, just that the primary focus right now is completing work in the Studios before starting heavy work on other resort projects (IOA, Jurassic, Seuss, new hotel, etc)
