I would hope Orlando dreams bigger than that

Yikes! Me too. I was thinking exactly the same thing when I read that and its making me ever so slightly concerned for Universal Hollywood. I know that they're limited on space and running with half of the land that UOR has, but everything they're putting in seems like a clone of Orlando (with a few unique spins on them) or a rehash of other attraction concepts they've already done. It makes me wish they WOULD buy the golf course across the spillway and rebuild the soundstages there to expand the park into the Lower Lot. It'll never happen (unlikely, anyway), but it would open things up for them to expand and do something incredible. And while I know there's the argument that people usually don't visit both coasts, so cloning USH and UOR isn't that big of a deal, I'd like to see them build some variety into the two resorts with attractions that are unique to one or the other. As it stands now, the only things in Hollywood that aren't in Orlando are the Studio Tour and Waterworld. I realize attractions are expensive to design/build and that building multiple clones helps keep prices manageable for new attractions, but the two Uni resorts are starting to feel "cookie-cutter" to me.

I'm thrilled to see Comcast spending money on their resorts and for all of my "gripes," I look forward to waiting and seeing what the end results of these new attractions actually are!

Is fast and furious seriously worth making a ride over here in orlando? I don't see it being timeless that we will look back on and say "ahh fast and the furious, what a classic" I know you don't have to have a timeless movie to make a timeless attraction (water world, mummy, transformers) but besides a badass chase what's the point of making a ride over here especially in kidzone? I see fast and furious as a stunt show to replace fear factor if they made a expanded stage. It's possible

No it's not. Not nearly enough room there for a car stunt show.

That's honestly the only way I can see it working, I'm sure they could think of something, pushing back the sets into the backstage area or possibly re designing the theatre itself? If it can apparently fit a potter phase 3 it could probably fit a stunt show

There is no backstage area where that theater is. If you look at the car stunt show at DHS, it requires significant space around the stage/outside the arena to get the cars up to speed. The Fear Factor area isn't big enough for that.

The point is it wont be called kidzone anymore. And no, no stunt show. Expect something like Test Track but better and faster if it were to happen

- - - Updated - - -

I believe there will be a F&F coming soon. The reason for this thinking is because Hollwood and Orlando have been preety symmetrical when it comes to opening new attratction.

DM, TF, Mummy, Kong, HP and even Springfield. Since F&F is going to hollywood, We should 100% expect F&F coming to Orlando. Just a matter or when and where (KZ or MIB/mystery plot)

I actually see your point right there, but just because Hollywood and Orlando add symmetrical additions doesn't mean you should "100%" expect F&F to come here. That could sometimes change.

Am I the only one here who hopes that F&F will NOT come to Orlando. I wouldn't mind the concept from Hollywood to a different themed attraction, but I'm personally not a big fan of the F&F franchise. :/ But hey, I'm not a fan of the Transformers franchise, yet I enjoy the ride.

Yeah skip I see now after looking at maps you are right. Do we really need a test track ride though for fast and furious? I really don't see what that would add to the resort that we don't already have. I also think fast and furious isn't a headliner franchise for a attraction that scale. Like I don't know a single person that likes the series period, most see it as guilty pleasures. I pray hollywood gets fast and furious as a exclusive

You do know the 6 movies have grossed over 2.4 billion in box-office worldwide? And are only growing in gross as they go? I'd say there's a few people that like it. It's a huge franchise for Universal and I'm surprised they haven't capitalized on it in the parks already.

If we have to get a F&F ride I truly hope it isn't anything like Hollywood's...

The last thing Uni needs is ANOTHER 3-D attraction.

This! I too am clueless as to why the franchise hasn't been capitalized upon already. With 6 movies in the books, and 3 more on the way, Fast & Furious is due for an awesome theme park ride. And not some crappy 3-D tram ride!

3-D rides/movies is the present and the future. We are going to have to get used to it. I don't really have a problem with having tons of 3D attractions anymore, as long as the ride has more than just screens and has practical affects or AA's involved. And call me crazy but if they do bring a FF ride to Orlando I would actually prefer a themed FF coaster over a screened tram ride. Something along the lines of Rock N Rollercoaster at DHS.

I know the movies are successful but I don't see the point of making another high speed action ride in a park that already has 2. I'd save it for the headlining thrill ride in a third gate. They should do what the fans actually want and bring fast and furious extreme close up to Florida, that would be incredible

Who cares about the franchise? What im hoping for is something along the lines of Test Track for a new ride experience at USO

I'm sure that UC has realized that F&F isnt as big as the few last IP's they have brought to the park. Maybe instead of having a attraction revolved around the franchise, the ride can be based more on the action and speed. Like I said, a jacked up Test Track/Hyper coaster

I highly doubt it will be in 3D in Orlando

You think what the fans want is a minute long view of two cars on a Kuka dancing?

You guys have to remember that a lot of these Studio Tour attractions do not translate well to anywhere else outside the Studio Tour.

I think F&F would be low on the priority list of properties to bring to UO simply because its not a real merchandisable property. The movies have no iconic cars or clothing. No food or beverage tie ins. The merch would just have to be generic logo based stuff. The movies are adult movies, so you really don't even have an easy way to sell replica cars to young boys. Since it seem that UO is mainly spending money on rides that will drive merch, I just can't see F&F being something they would use valuable space on. About the only way I see it happening would be a retheme of rockit. With that they don't have a lot of money tied up in it and it isn't taking away space from something else.

A cool ride is a cool ride. It doesn't matter what the IP is, and I think people are getting too hung up on that. I remember when people were crying over Harry Potter having a big presence and it wasn't worth using the space for that IP... as it didn't have staying power, and wasn't big enough like Star Wars and would be a bust because the series was ending... Well, we know how that argument turned out.

I've asked a few times, but I'll try again. Someone mentioned they had seen plans for a F&F attraction that was planned for Orlando once, I'm just wondering what those plans were like... Was it like TT?

I'm kidding!!! But really though uni is looking into the kid market, why would they go for F&F replacing a kids area? I just don't see it going to uni, 3rd gate probably

I don't recall this. I just remember some concept art for the Universal Studios Moscow park that never came together.
