Kidzone Pizza won't become the Krusty Krab. Might as well stop dreaming of that one guys.

As for the Kidzone redo...pretty much all our insiders agree that it isn't going to be a childish property taking over the plot of land. I think we all need to think outside that bubble.

You are the first person I've ever heard of that doesn't know spongebob stuff, dead serious XD, he really is a iconic character but I understand why you haven't seen it. I know many people who haven't watched the Simpsons ever and when they go to that area they don't get any references. Spongebob is really a show you had to be around when it came out or have had kids who watched it (basically 10 years ago time frame) it's really become a phenomenon around the world

I am in my late 30s, so I did not grow up with and neither did any of my friends or family. My kid is too young and after watching a part of one episode in a doctor office I don't see myself allowing her to watch it for a very long time. But I am pretty picky on the types of shows I will let her watch. My one friend has kids entering the age of watching spongebob and they are all girls and not at all interested in it. The are into girly shows. The rest of my friends and husband's friends are too young like my LO to be watching it.

I hope it's not TMNT. I'd be way more excited for Avatarland.

That's a really specific case izzy. The planets have alliened to make your life spongebob free XD, I just see it everywhere and watched it when it came out. I'm way younger than you but still, you are in a different era. But back on topic yeah I'm sure we will find out something before it's demo'd. Since woody is still staying it looks like we are just getting replacements for all the land around it including Barney, George and the fevel the Jewish chipmunk. My guess is the kidzone theme will stay and we will get a couple new family rides to replace the playgrounds and shows. To have woody smack dab in the middle of DC land doesn't make sense to me

The coaster staying doesn't mean the theme of the coaster is staying.

Specific? An entire generation is specific? Not just my generation either. I bet you the over 55 crowd would not know what it is. Yes, we all know what Spongebob is and what he looks like, but to know the food in the cartoon, that is too detailed for the general person who has never seen the show to know.

Simpson's is the same way. But the difference is that a Krusty burger is gonna be a burger. So when you walk in and look at all the storefronts, you know you are getting Italian at one, burgers at another, etc. But until someone looks at the menu they would have no clue what was served there and too many people would think it is seafood unless they had watches Spongebob.

the krabby patty is much more than a food item in spongebob, a ton of episodes are based entirely on it and the krusty krab is where spongebob works. Also sorry if I came off as rude, could've worded it better but you get the gist, it's not in your generation as something like adventure time isnt in mine. Also skip I thought you said it was just going to stay with woody woodpecker theming, my bad

We've said all along we don't know what the new theming is. It could very well stay the same. Just wanted to point out that the coaster can stay and easily be updated to fit the possible new theme.

You didn't come off as rude, you are just not understanding my point. To the general population who has never seen a single episode of Spongebob, they will not understand that Krusty Krab is a hamburger joint. They will see the name and assume seafood (I did when you guys first started talking about it). That population will be much larger than you think as entire generations were not young enough to watch it when it came out or do not have kids who watch it. You are overestimating how many people have seen an episode to understand what it is. It is one thing to never have seen Mummy, but from the title you know what it will be about. You could not know what Moe's Tavern is, but the name Tavern means bar. So it is OK to use IPs not everyone is familiar with, but the title has to lend itself to what it is or there could be a lot of confusion out there for the guests.

That is not a reason to hold off a krusty krab. If people find out it's not a seafood, then they can go somewhere else. Just put up a sign that says burgers and they'll be all set.

Seeing as a Sea Food place is in FFB anyway that would solve it

I'd rather see Nuthouse Coaster get the shaft for a nicely themed family coaster. One Roller Skater per resort :P

These things used to get out a lot earlier before HatesToFly "retired". I think there are a couple folks on here that know what's going down, but they're being even more tight-lipped than usual.

I hope it stays. Only because it gives the younger kids who are either too small or too scared to ride the bigger coasters something to ride. Studios and IOA need to move towards being separate full day parks. So that way the little ones have a coaster each day they visit uni instead of just one. That is why I don't mind rockit, it gives a real coaster for the big kids in both parks. Mummy is a coaster, but not like a real outdoor one. Both parks need to be able to stand on their own.

Even HTF was a little tight lipped on this one. I think it is because of IP negotiations and stuff getting out early is never good for sensitive negotiations.

I understand where you are coming from but the krusty krab is incredibly iconic and is basically on the same lines of pizza planet when it comes to little kids staring at the screen and saying "I want to go there". I'm almost positive if the krusty krab is made all the advertising for it will be try a krabby patty making sure it's a burger joint to everybody. It's a butter beer kind of deal, people think its alcoholic but it's far from it. I think you are really underestimating how many kids and people in this world watch or have watched spongebob. It's nicks #1 show and it's played non stop all day every day. It's one of the biggest cartoons of all time if not the biggest. The krusty Krab probably won't be made anyways so whatever

It's time to drop it. You're biased in your argument because you are the generation that Spongebob is aimed at. Izzy's whole point can't be understood if you aren't willing to look at this "debate" or whatever's going on from different eyes.

Let me put it this way. If you've never seen the show "Friends", you're not going to know what The Central Perk is...it's too broad a name. So the addition of a venue called The Central Perk shuts out any group of people who aren't familiar with Friends (which, considering how many international visitors Universal gets, is probably quite a bit).

Meanwhile, if you've never seen the show "Breaking Bad", but Universal added a restaurant called El Pollos Hermanos, most people would still know chicken is sold there independent of any knowledge they have of the IP it's derived from. Therefore, something like this would be the stronger venue to put in the park.

Krusty Krab is the former example...except it's even worse because the name is misleading (Central Perk could mean anything, but Krusty Krab would seem to specifically refer to seafood to those not in the know). At the end of the day, parents are the ones booking the trips, paying for them, deciding where to eat, etc...while the Krusty Krab would be a fun place for fans of the show, the older people who don't watch it and who Universal cares about (the ones with the money) are what matter.

Krusty Krab as a hamburger is simply too confusing to the masses. Plus it sounds more like a pestilence than a food.

When I meant family coaster, I meant one with the same amount of thrills as Nuthouse... only with Big Thunder-esque immersion. It's a poorly themed Roller-Skater that's a subpar version of Hippogriff next door. It could still have a 36" height requirement, just some better theming and an actual plotline.

I'm not expecting to hear about KidZone IPs until after Diagon Alley opens
