Yeah, I've actually seen it twice. JW is basically a re-branded JP. It's even on the same island. There's just more to it so it's World vs Park. Kinda like Universal Escape except with less disastrous results.

Well that's my point the movie makes the distinction between the two very clear. They show that the old Jurassic Park is in a "restricted area" of the island and that the new Jurassic world was constructed separately. They then go even further and decide to show the old Jurassic Park and it's clear they're not only separated physically but also in time as the old park is now in ruins and obviously been abandoned for 20+ years.

When it comes to JW and JP co-existing maybe we shouldn't be so preoccupied wondering if UC could we should stop and think if they should.

I can give you 524 million reasons why they should. Next week, I may be able to give a lot more.

If you want to get heavy in to the theming argument, the park at IOA is "Isla Adventura" and not Nublar like the movie. There, your argument is done. The river ride wasn't in the Jurassic Park film either. Oh, neither was Camp Jurassic or the Pteranodon Flyers? Literally the only thing from the movie is the exterior of Discovery Center.

Hmm. What next, are you going to argue that Skull Island is in the Indian Ocean and Jurassic Park is in the Pacific so how can they be right next to each other? It's a theme park with rides. Yeesh, I don't see pixie dusters being so adamant about how Tomorrowland in the park isn't on another planet.

They can put whatever ride(s) they want to from Jurassic World in to Jurassic Park - this area was never designed or intended to be the same as the movies. The public still identifies the two as one in the same, because they pretty much are.

I don't really care how close to the original books or movies any theme park land is composed. Just give me good theming, good attractions/rides, good restaurants/bars, good shows & make it beautiful. That's all I ask for.

Like I said I don't think you have to get too literal, I understand it's just a park but at the same time I expect at least a small effort to put something in the proper theme. If you just throw the two brandings together it doesn't make sense. Yes the IoA JP isn't the true JP park but JP represents a part of the timeline in the franchise and the movie goes out of it's way to show that not only can these two brandings not coexist but that JP is specifically not welcome within the JW branding. If millions of people hadn't just watched the movie it would be one thing but now everyone will be well aware of the difference between JP and JW. The same could have been said for Harry potter they could have built Diagon Alley right next to Hogwarts castle instead of Hogsmeade I don't think the casual theme park goer would have cared. For that matter they could just build a big roller coaster and call it the "Raptor" slap a JW logo on it and be done with it. I would hope though that Universal pays a little more attention to theming, it's not Six Flags after all.

How is Raptor Encounter holding up? Is it popular as ever? By now, they should have received two more raptors to fill up their available paddocks and relieve the two premier raptors.

Thank you. Good to hear. I worry that the two will wear themselves out before reinforcements arrive.

Im plugging away on my design. still working on the modified Gyro-Sphere ride vehicle. modeling a spherical ride vehicle is surprisingly difficult, who'd have guessed it lol.

Here it is so far. much more to do. Just a little busy with work at the moment.

I've always been dubious of the supposed backstory of Jurassic Park at IoA. I don't think I've ever seen anything at any of the attractions there that actually implies that it's supposed to actually be at Islands of Adventure and not Isla Nublar. There's the huge model at the entrance of the River Adventure of Isla Nublar, and I believe the queue video makes reference to a much larger island. I feel like that whole "Hammond partnering with Universal" thing was just supposed to be marketing fun and not taken literally.

It may be too late for this but...

IoA is 1/3 fantasy, and 1/2 cartoon (which would go down to 1/3 if jungle went up to 1/3).

The Discovery Center is also not exactly the same as in the movie:

It's funny how some of the details are so exact and some things are just kind of close. I noticed the other day the chairs in the restaurant are exactly the same as the chairs in the dining are of the visitor center in the movie.

Edit: Well not "exactly" the same but you can see what I mean. They put some pretty good attention to detail into that area.
