I’d love if they kept the water tunnel or built a new one in any capacity. Probably one of my favorite special effect in the whole resort to be honest. Behind any robotics.

If they play their cards right they can save the water tunnel as part of the queue for a brand new ride? Keep the Poseidon's Fury current building for Queue and Load/Unload (just change the facade, and some theming inside to fit whatever IP you want) and then connect it to a brand new show building where the theater sits. Have part of Poseidon's show scenes become pre-shows ala Forbidden/Gringotts with the water tunnel taking you to the station.

Isn't the water tunnel like ridiculously expensive to run?

It is an expensive effect.

Personally, I think Zelda is a perfect fit for IOA. I was looking through some Zelda art, and I noticed that Port of Entry has a bit of a Zelda look to it.

 After E.T.'s queue and Original Kongfrontation Ride, that used to be my favorite smell for some reason.

If they go with a aesthetic to match Wind Waker it would fit even more in the “islands” theme. I expect they’ll probably go with something more like Breath of the Wild, should it happen.

I think we will most likely see nods to all of the games, but the aesthetics will probably be BotW, OoT, TP.

Maybe they could do an interactive Ocarina thing like the Potter wands.

I think (hope) BotW will probably be the main aesthetic tilt. OoT is just too old to base anything off, and TP's art is garbage. (Sorry Not Sorry)

Honestly, I can see it act more as a hybrid of the BOTW and Skyward Sword art styles more than Ocarina and Twilight Princess.

I never played Legend of Zelda as a kid...Now I feel like I'm playing catch up...

I'll admit though, from what I've seen, it would fit IOA nicely, and have some threads of the old LC

I'm also pretty unfamiliar with Zelda, is there anything that hangs out under bridges? ;)

Zelda fits IoA perfectly and I know it'll be a home run.

But I also want to remind everyone that this thread started in 2009. Keep all expectations in check.

When change does come expect it to be like Diagon: level everything and rebuild.

Can someone explain to me whats so important about Mythos?

Mythos opened up as an affordable high end restaurant and that legacy has not caught up with reality. Ask @Skubersky about the meals he used to get there. Now it's home to burgers, some pan-asian cuisine, and a risotto of the day. It's nice but not great especially as Disney's sit down has improved over the past five years.

Personally I prefer Confisco's at this point anyway, so they can do away with Mythos if they wish.

I just love the mythos facade from across the lagoon. I’ll understand if it all comes down, but I have a hard time believeing whatever they put there will have the same effect

IMO, a benefit of Mythos coming down would be this:

Opening up the waterfront. As of right now, Port, Seuss, and Marvel are the only two lands with direct, open waterfront access. Adding another potential show viewing space that isn't hidden gives Uni more of an opportunity to finally put a show on the Lagoon, not to mention a redesigned Zelda waterfront restaurant for the new land.

OMG YES
One of my recent trips to IOA, I noticed how insanely magestic it looks across the lake
However I must say, Zelda is known for having huge and beautiful skyline structures (Hyrule Castle, Death Mountain, etc.)

I recently took several people to USF and IOA for the day (It was insanely slow.. we hit every major ride). All of them said Posiedon's Fury was their favorite. I was kinda suprised, but they loved all the effects (And these are 20-somethings)!

The facade is stunning. Ditto for Poseidon's Fury's facade. It'll be a shame to see them disappear.
