I'd argue that the size is fine. It just feels like it's missing stuff. I posted a list a few days ago that listed all the stuff that was cut, and it's a lot.

How do you fix the land? I'm not completely sure, but I can think of a few ideas that might help.

1. Put the Casino minigame inside the Peaches Castle sideroom next to the Pirahna Plant. It gives another mini experience and is replayable.

2. Music Blocks. Fit them in anywhere you can.

3. The entire upstairs area needs to be renovated. Use the screen mini-game from the underground section in Osaka and place it where the random POW block is. Introduce a new practical effect in the hallway before it, something involving the band.

4. Remove the Powerup band vending machines. They're taking up valuable real estate. Place a snack stand there.

5. Fix the green walls so they don't look like blocks.

6. Expand.

I really thought the vending machines were inserted in the frames for the slot machine at first. The complaint I’m hearing the most from people in videos is that there isn’t a drink cart. Seems like an easy change that I’m surprised they didn’t add day 2 of softs.

The USJ version of the land has two extra snack booths. Pit Stop Popcorn and Yoshi's Snack Island. It helps take a lot of pressure off of Toadstool Cafe. I'm shocked we didn't get at least one of those.

They should also reskin the lower lot Character Shop into Mario Motors and convert Studio Cafe into Yoshi's snack island/pit stop popcorn.

I love Yoshi....but he has an AA, is in the MK ride and and his Q is part of the land....would like Captain Toad or...some other character to get more theming in the land if they open a little shop/food stand

Not sure if this was shared here already, apologies if it was. I think it's an amusing contrast that while we are discussing NoA's reaction in Hollywood that Doug Bowser was recently at the park in Japan.

This seems very very related. Like a corporate compare and contrast branch situation. And also, a very public, “This is how it should be.”

Funny, I basically had a similar thought on if they were able to demo Panda and SC in the distant future to give the Mario part of the land more space (assuming DK comes), they could easily get rid of that.

But yeah, that's the one part of the land I would not mind seeing get the axe for anything since there will be multiple places to get Power Up bands, and 1 up factory still exists for bands too.

I still can't believe Mt. Beanpole got used for queue instead of, you know, ANYTHING else. The Mario Kart queue in Osaka is above the ride. Why isn't it the same for Hollywood?
Ya this is why I don’t feel the need to visit tbh. It’s too much queue, minimal games and food…

I still think the land looks good, but knowing what else is could be is totally hindering it. I would not be shocked if corporate peeps aren’t happy. Japan and Hollywood look and feel completely different to me from a far.

I just found out I will be in LA on Feb 15/16, I'm currently juggling a couple different options for what to do and USH is certainly on the list, but if I spend all that time and money and can't get into Nintendo World I don't think it would be worth it. So what do we think are my chances that close to "Official Opening"?

Unfortunately I’d assume they’ll be doing media days then, but time will tell

This situation is messy lol. Would it be accurate to say that:
USH tried to open SNW before ToonTown, so it's opening rushed to the point of being borderline unfinished
Disney wants to open ToonTown before SNW, so it's opening MMRR without ToonTown being open, and presumably forcing them to race to the finish-line with the ride
Now: Nintendo is mad, WDI probably annoyed that they have to open a part of ToonTown without the land being done
From an outside perspective this is what it looks like but I could be way off the mark here

I've gone to the land....and for sure to me doesn't feel unfinished

Some more items need to be added but unfinished would be the ride not working, a few effects in land not working to me is fine when its not even officially open yet

To clarify: I am not talking about unpainted stuff that will most likely be painted or whatever else can be expected during technical rehearsals.
I'm talking about cut interactivity, the AA, and certain mistakes that won't be corrected by opening. I think/hope what we could be looking at here if NoA makes enough noise is a Jurassic World 2.0 situation where we get some of the stuff they originally planned, just a bit late

So I think I've discovered a bug on the Universal app with the bands (at least on Android?).

I decided to see what happens if I were to remove mine now that I know that the data is on the bands themselves, and apparently, removing them from your app doesn't actually stick, if you reboot the whole app or just part of the SNW app itself, the bands just reappear as if you never actually removed them. This even happened when I nuked the whole app from my phone and reinstalled it. Since you can always re-scan them this is kind of weird.

I would assume that he went to Japan primarily on business to Nintendo's headquarters in Kyoto and that this was an extra stop. But for him to make this stop in Osaka has me wondering if this was a specific business matter to do with Hollywood or if the staff at Nintendo in Japan were merely just proud of the park itself and wanted to show him.
