I would assume after Antarctica, the longest line in the rest of the park might be at Guest Relations

 It's sad, though... I mean, I will reserve judgement, yadda, yadda, but when so many people are saying the ride is crap... I am expecting it to be crap :'( At least the environment and exhibit are getting positive reviews

If you go to see the Penquins I recommend a jacket if you want to stay in the encounter morevthan 5 minutes, its that cold in there.
Yeah I would hit Manta first, it was up and running at 8 this morning I wish I had rode that ten times instead of waiting two hours for that... but hey I got a antartca wrist band and sticker!

OK, maybe I'l explore the land, and just avoid the ride this weekend

Oh, nice! Collectible goodies!

This ride might not be the best, but I do think it's a step in the right direction.

This may be one of the worst attractions ever conceived, designed, and built, ranking just behind that godawful motion simulator of the Bible for the Epcot Millennium Celebration. Unless you're placing the penguins WITHIN the ride, we don't need a pointless ride to see some penguins. You can't make penguins exciting. They're just penguins. If the penguins from Madagascar were around, they would have figured out an escape route from this lame attraction and been LONG gone by now. Geez.

Lol. I actually like penguins, just don't want them to be represented with CGI and poor ride design.

I had South Pole Chill and the Teriyaki Chicken. I don't recommend the food (my friends all had different meals and no one liked anything) and the drink is literally clear butterbeer without the topping - just vanilla cream soda. I mean, it was alright but nothing to write home about. The only good thing is that the way they have the land controls you can either enter by the dolphin show for the ride (with the 4 hour wait) or enter by the sea lions just to shop and eat. Of course, if you want to see penguins you have to enter the ride line and wait halfway through it to split off to the habitat, which at that point you should just wait for the ride as it exits there. I'm going back an hour before park open sometime this week to actually get on the ride but I won't be eating or drinking anything there again. Mango Joe's by Wild Arctic is much better.

I'm glad I signed up for the fotl passholder thing for 6/22. From the reviews, it does not appear that the attraction is worth a long line. I'll reserve my judgement until after I ride.

I saw the videos of the ride and I agree, seems very short for how much tech they put into it. Maybe in person it will be better, but I don't think I'd wait any longer than 30 minutes.

HTF, my girlfriend got severe motion sickness going into Turtle Trek, will that be an issue here as well? It was mostly the dome screen however, and HP/Spider Man don't give her any trouble.

She will be fine on mild or wild.

lol 4 hour wait for a 2 min lackluster penguin ride? Why god why?

Heavy advertising, Memorial Day weekend, and poor capacity.

Did any of you who have ridden experience anything close to the following concept art? The ride videos don't even seem close.

I'm going to call it right here right now, we are going to see a major revision to this ride with a year.

I didn't care for the soda that much but I'm kind of picky. I did enjoy the orange chicken though, but not sure if I would put in on the top of SeaWorlds counter service options.

I don't think I'll wait more than 5 mins for this ever again unless my wife or family made me on a visit.

Also I showed my wife the Mystic Manor POV a few days ago because she has no real interest in theme parks and was curious about what kind of ride this is. I then showed her the penguin pov a few minutes ago. She was speechless.... I'm gonna leave it at that...

Problem is I don't see what they can really do. The ride takes up such a tiny area I don't see how they can change enough to make it worth it.

There is room to fix things and improve show quality.

That wouldnt be hard we sat an lloked at a wall for five minutes then looked
at a stuck screen for two, then they opened the doors to the encounter and we waited another two minutes to disembark. So I dont what you all are talkig about with this short ride stuff.... My ride was like ten minuteseasily!

Eh...still, it's not going to make a bad ride a good one, or even a passable one.

If ever there was a ride that could have been easily improved by animatronics this is it. Penguins would be amazingly easy to pass off as real and anthropomorphize for riders. And the colors in those scenes... it's as if a team of transvestites decorated the ice continent below. Yeesh.

Watched the POV for this and underwhelming is certainly a good term to use. There's really no story throughout the ride...And the whole danger scene was boring...course I was watching but yea SeaWorld should probably just stick to thrills. I mean Ill give it to them when it comes to themeing because it looked incredible but the ride was a snooze
