That is awesome! Seeing Johnny Depp in person that close would be so cool. I wonder if people were stopping him when he was there. He is one of the three celebrities I would be wowed by if I ever saw them in person. The others are Liam Neeson and Christopher Walken.

Well it would seem it may not be him. Just got an email saying this:

That was NOT Johnny Depp at the Magic Kingdom on Monday. I know this for a fact because 1) The REAL Johnny Depp is currently in the UK filming Dark Shadows 2) That guy's name is Dale Clark and he likes to go around places dressed as Johnny Depp trying to fool as many people as possible. However, he is giving Mr Depp a bad rep as Dale blows off people and acts snobbish while the real Johnny is nothing like that at all.

Well it would seem it may not be him. Just got an email saying this:

That sounds much more logical. Depp is in production right now. Depp has a family and would never go on vacation without them... he would not travel alone on Disney property without an entourage and at least a Disney escort. Finally, the guy's body dimensions were just too short and thick, shoulders too narrow and hips too wide. If he has Depp's tattoos then it is because he is obsessed.

Look familiar now? http://www.gigsalad.com/depp_double_louisville

Just saw this thread, but I swear I saw Wee-Man from Jackass being led around a tour of UO on my trip late Jan/early Feb.

The closest I've gotten to celebrity encounters were Thomas Smith and Chris Beatty, both of whom I saw speak and got to interview at FSPA's Disney event for high school journalists back in October. Most wouldn't classify them as celebrities, but I'd much rather run into them than most who do "count."

Never even knew this thread existed. Folks I've seen strolling around DLR in the past: Tim Allen, Art Alexakis (lead singer of Everclear), Kelly Rippa, The Rock.

Who I saw in September: Waiting in line for a Dole Whip, and when I get up to the front, Sean Astin was on the other side (the Tiki Room side). Seemed like he was pretty cool, he asked his Disney host if she wanted one, and she said no, she couldn't and he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Then I asked him why he needed a Dole Whip if he ate all the Lembas.

while we were at disney world between 9/20/11 to 10/4/11 my wife thought she saw guy fieri (diners drive inns and dives fame )can anyone tell me if it could have been him or did anybody else see him in that period of time
thank you

He was in town for Food and Wine at Epcot if I am not mistaken.

I got to meet Vince Neil from Motley Crue at the Hard Rock Hotel pool he was a nice guy lol We just talked about how awesome the hotel is and where he was performing next

When I was a CP at Mouse Gear, I checked out Jim Gaffigan. He was with his family and as a CM I could not geek out in front of him. It took all of my strength and willpower to keep me from screaming "Hot Pockets!" or "Bacon!"

This next celebrity sighting is a bit more substantial and personally fulfilling. When I transferred over to Splash Mountain that summer, I was at the first dispatch station and I got a call from a manager that a VIP was coming down and that I should be ready to keep a log open. The first thing I see is this large man with a recognizable Brahma Bull tattoo on his arm. "Holy #$^% it's The Rock!" my mind kept telling me. Keep in mind I watched wrestling religiously when he and Stone Cold had their big feud so this was a pretty big deal to me. He was also with his family and I noticed his daughter wearing a Birthday button, so I tell her "Happy Birthday" and she says thank you back; his wife also thanks me. The Rock takes a look at my name tag and at first doesn't say anything, but when they were getting into the log, he shouts back "Thank you Brian!" Needless to say, I nearly freaking fainted. I might have been playing it cool on the outside, but my inner teenage wrestling fan version of myself was about to burst out like Alien. And that experience could have ended right there and I would have been content. When they came back around, I was thankfully still at that same station. They got out, I asked if they had fun. The daughter, with a huge smile on her face said "It was awesome!" The Rock and his wife both thanked me. The Rock came over, shook my hand and said "Have a good day Brian." They left with their guide and that was that. If I were to have been struck by lightning right there, I would have died a happy man.

I met him once when I worked at American Airlines and I checked him in for a flight, pretty nice guy. I met a lot of celebs actually, from super cool (Busta Rhymes talking about he had to go get a "cafe con leche" for his flight, and the Wayans brothers having fun) to wanting to punch them (Salma Hayek, total b*&$*, and Nick Carter from Nsync, total dipset)

Some are cool, some aren't so cool.

So let me tell you a story on how I was sitting on the curb in Hollywood for the Mardi Gras parade and saw a man pass me in a neon green tanktop and cast on him arm walking with a quick pace. I thought it was Rob Gronkowski, but didn't think too much of it.

Turns out it was.

The "Sorry for Partying" T-Shirt should have been the dead give away! Was he carrying around the alligator at this point?

I met Vanna White in DHS last October.
