I can't really get on someone for that. People outside the "fanatic" world don't have any idea other then what a park map tells them.

Here's the stupid I'm talking about:

Scene - Over by the Blue Man Group/Universal secondary entrance

Nincompoop: Where is the entrance to Rockit?

Employee: You have to walk down this street and hang a left. It's on the other side of this (Neutron) building.

Nincompoop: OK, but where is the entrance?

Employee: Over on the other side of this building. There is no entrance here.

Nincompoop: Forget it.

Someone said on the bus to Epcot:

"The ET ride is at Epcot!!! It's right next to the big race car ride."

A similar story to what Brian said above:

Last night on the parking lot side of Disney Quest:

Dumb guest to his wife: Where the hell is the door to this place? We just walked the whole way back and forth and there's no damn door!

Dumb guest wife: Oh, here it is honey, you must have to go up these stairs and go in at the top.

(Said stairs look like some kind of maintenance entrance that goes to the roof and is chained off)

Dumb guest kid: Here, (he unhooks the chain), let's hurry up and get inside it's freezing out here!

So as they start going up the stairs I politely told them that the entrance is actually on the other side of the building. I kept a straight face but 8 and 10 year old boys aren't as composed and cracked up laughing at them. Good times. Stay in school kids.

here's a quote that a friend of mine overheard while @ magic kingdom:

random mother: "stop picking on those birds. we got real ones at home you get to beat the ____ out of"

seriously, just because you mistake real birds for animatronics, doesn't justify the lack of judgement

Not a stupid quote, but a stupid person.

So last week we went to Magic Kingdom and decided to ride Space. My friend, however, was in a wheelchair so we had to use the FastPass entrance. When we get to the loading queue, we have to go a specially designated area to wait to board. Right as we get there, I overhear a couple arguing about the line. They are trying to decide which line to go to (mind you, they are not in a wheelchair). I politely turn around and explain "This line is only for guests in wheelchairs, the line you're looking for is over there". The woman responds back with a rude tone, "We have both!". Instead of pressing the matter, I let it be and turn back around. So far, we've waited in line for about 15 minutes when I hear the couple arguing again on which line is fastest and that they didn't want to miss the fireworks. The woman decides to complain to a CM that she needs to be loaded next because she "didn't know she needed a wheelchair". After about 5 minutes of the CM trying to explain that he needs to load in order of the line, he finally cracks and lets them skip our party and the party in front of us. Infuriated, I went up to the CM and as calmly as I could asked "What gives them to right to skip us?".

The CM responds, "She didn't know she needed a wheelchair and that she couldn't stand for long periods of time".

I had to look at him twice as I couldn't believe he bought that story. So I shoot back.

"How does one not know they need a wheelchair, if they have those kind of problems. It's not like the wheelchair was invented recently. To be honest, it's a load of bull because I overheard the couple arguing that they didn't want to miss the fireworks. What gave them the sense of entitlement that their condition is any worse then the others in line?"

Nervous, the CM explains to me he'll try to seat us right away. After a few minutes of talking to his lead, he came back apologetic. He owned up to his mistake and sat on us on the next rocket.

By no means was I trying to get mad at the CM, he tried to make the party happy. Unfortunately, the couple tried to take advantage of the situation, which is utterly disgusting. Granted, our friend in the wheelchair just had some knee problems, but what if someone in that line had a condition that was worse?

Some people...

Wow, why do people have to be that stupid? Seriously. And she didn't even see the wheelchair logo on the gate?

This is a classic case of "I'm-the-Only-Person-in-the-World" disease. I hate this more than anything. Yes, waiting sucks. But we all have to do it. If you don't want to miss the fireworks, then go outside.

I've heard this kind of thing all too often in the parks. Such as: "I paid this much to be here, I shouldn't have to wait in lines!" As if your purchase of a one-day ticket closes the park to the rest of the public......

As I was passing the wishing well next to Cinderella Castle, some guy stated to his son "That's Where the Matterhorn should be!"

Also While I was walking through Hollywood Studios some girl asked an employee if they know where the Simpsons ride was located. The employee looked perplexed and then ignored her. Good for him!:worship:

One more:P
As I was passing the Tree of Life in the Animal Kingdom some girl asked if the tree was a giant treehouse like Swiss Family Robinson.:bonk:

I can only remember some 10 year old saying to his dad,

"I can't wait to go on that King Kong ride, it was so cool last time!" or something along those lines.

This was July 2008, and I can only imagine his disappointment seeing the Mummy LOL! Hopefully he liked ROTM.

I wouldn't call that stupid, especially since it's coming from a 10 year old. We have to assume that not every follows up with the theme parks like most of us do.

Again the kind of stupid we are looking for in the thread is this:

At Epcot, passing the Mexico Pavilion -

Father (to 5 year old daughter) - "Hey, it's Mexico! Do you know what language they speak in Mexico?"

Girl - "No"

Father - "Mexican. They speak Mexican here."

Sadly, this is not the first time I've heard people substitute Mexican for Spanish.

gotta love mickey ears at Universal, too.

i had these two girls sitting behind me on jurassic park who kept asking each other if they had seen splash mountain on the way over to JP. One of them said, "Is this splash mountain?" right as we were boarding, and the TM next to her just said, "No." I lol'd so hard. eventually i had to turn around and explain that there's more than one theme park in central florida.
