Have they ever used the Mummy qeue as a haunt????

They have not. Unfortunately, that would shut down the Mummy ride, and I don't think that the queue would leave them with a lot to work with. Unless, of course, they were doing some kind of mummy/Egyptian theme, which I personally would not be that interested in seeing...

People were panicked over the weekend, but a lot of the insiders on sites like Horror Nights Nightmares have come out and said they're excited. If nothing else, it's apparently going to be a very new feeling event.

That's good to hear! As scary as last minute changes can be, especially for an event of this scale, sometimes that is the best thing to shake things up and get the creative juices flowing in a new direction. Color me optimistic, then!

They can't use the Mummy like they did with Kong due to the size of the queue and because of the "arena". Talk about accident waiting to happen.

Ahhh, I see. I wonder if they (JUST for that ride) had kind of like a more immensive interactive qeue during HHN? Just had mummies roaming around maybe adding something along those lines? It's already creepy as it is but I think that might add a little more to it just for the "season"

It's funny that you mention that, since Universal used to implement HHN into certain attractions in the park. While the execution was never anything to get excited about, I always like how they tried, and wished that they had gone to the next level.

As far as the Mummy queue goes, I've seen the TM's hide and scare guests on several occasions. I don't supposed it would be much of a stretch to whip up some mummy costumes and throw them in the queue. I'm all for it.

I'm surprised auditions have not been posted yet. Probably because of all the last minute changes lol.

The first week that it opened they had a few shrouded figures doing the big boo in the queue, spooking tons of people. I haven't seen it since.

I have seen it sporadically at best. Might see one guy do and then not see it again for months. And thats with almost weekly trips.

They have done 2 haunts based on the Mummy movies in the past....Be interesting to see how they work this out,,,Maybe we will see huge scare zones instead of the extra house...

I'd love it if they did that, I mean the line never really gets long enough it seems to withhold something like that in there but even if people are fastracking it to the ride (this guy) it'd still scare the crap out of me if they did do something like that. :mummy:

I'm genuinely excited. They're having to think of new innovative ways to work on the event and I think Amity will get a mind blowing scarezone this year. Amity has always been a consistent dead zone due to traffic, but this year with no house or attraction to impede on crowd flow it'll make a great spot for a zone. MIB area just gets too crowded for that.

Can't wait despite the likely focus on half of the park and maybe one less house, I hope they ramp up the scare zones a bit because of it.
This will be my 7th HNN and I probably will go the second Friday of the event as last year was the only year thus far I've gone and got to do EVERYTHING, including rides and some houses twice, all without purchasing an express pass.
I'm interested if the Walking Dead will come to Orlando, I think that'll boost up attendance even more.

Rumor has it Penn and Teller's project was a house, not to perform. Hopefully it's true. A black comedy house done by Uni and Penn and Teller would be a super win.

Also sounds like we'll be getting the Alice Cooper house from Hollywood's event last year. And a Silent Hill house. Which will be awesome if done right.
