especially BTTF since they have drawn up plans for a BTTF coaster in the plot between MIB and Springfield!

To be honest, even removing any biases (I kinda love the BTTF series), a BTTF launch coaster would be a very good addition to the park. A second coaster, not counting the mummy, would be a welcome addition.

Yeah I'd love to have a BTTF launch coaster!!! With 3 conditions of course...

1. It must have a launch speed of 88 MPH (not a mile slower or faster )
2. It has to be well-themed like that it's more of a really fast dark ride (hopefully 3-5 minutes long)
3. Marty, Doc, and Biff all need to be in it! (Christopher Lloyd is getting up there so they better do it soon if they're going to!)

They'd have 3 sublime coasters (Rockit, Mummy, BTTF) and 2 quasi ones (Gringotts, Woody Woodpecker)

But I would say it's easily the only other IP that's left besides Kong obviously that has a solid chance of coming back one day! :doggie:

I would die if they built a BTTF ride like this! And BTTF is my favorite movie and tied for series with Potter lol I do think it's funny awhile back ago how I wouldn't shut up about bringing back Kong where Disaster is lol And I remember thinking and saying it would be perfect if they blended the classic ride with the new ride in Hollywood. Maybe Universal really does listen to us?! haha But anyways if they made a BTTF launch coaster ride along with bringing back Kong I would straight up worship Universal Orlando(not that i don't already) but they are truly making dreams come true(not Disney). I mean it really does feel like Universal is thinking of some of the same great ideas we are and truly bringing them to us! At this point anything is possible for Universal Orlando to bring to it's parks! And that includes DC/more marvel/LOTR/and yes a BTTF launched coaster ride! Side note: I think because the Fast and the Furious movies are so popular and another movie is on it's way. I would not be surprised if they take the launch coaster concept from BTTF and make it Fast and the Furious. I mean I obviously would prefer BTTF but I think that might be more likely with the success of FF.

I don't see this happening unless there's a reboot or a sequel, which apparently a reboot has been talked about at Universal the past few years.

While I think Peter Jackson had an admirable mindset when doing his Kong, I feel it was the probably opposite of what a Kong remake/reboot needed. I bet if WB's Godzilla does well, Uni fast-tracks a Kong reboot. I want a Kong story told in modern day that's less romantic and more terrifying.

As far as a BTTF reboot goes. Please no.

I remember reading an article awhile back ago that said Daniel Radcliffe has always been interested in starring in a new BTTF movie. Now I really don't know how I feel about that considering I love BTTF and Harry Potter/Daniel Radcliffe. But if somebody were to direct it I would want them to be either JJ Abrams/Joss Whedon/Chris Nolan. And I would want it to be a sequel like Marty Mcfly's son is the main character. I just despise the thought of somebody rebooting BTTF and disgracing the series' name.

I actually liked Peter Jackon's King Kong a lot! Idk why so many people were hating on it for while. And yeah Legendary is making a Godzilla reboot with Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad and the main guy from kickass. It's going to more of a gritty, realistic, and scarier type film than the most recent Godzilla film.

Nothing wrong with Peter Jackson's King Kong except for the fact that it didn't need to be 3 hours long, and Jack Black was not the right actor for that role IMO.

Anyway, back to the topic. I'd be interested to see if they do re-theme the land to be all New York...what would they do with the surrounding buildings, Lombard's Landing, Richter's area, etc.

Slighly off topic but just a random thought. I can see T2 being re done but staying as Terminator. Mainly because Terminator 5 is confirmed with Arnold back :cyborgt:

I want to see a tour guide involved somehow. I mean, what happened to the Vacationer-Tour Guide relationship? It kinda died when Jaws did.

So, are we assuming that Kong will take up both the Disaster and BG space? I'm not sure how that's going to work with the bathrooms in the middle, which now look "subway-ish". I think it's more likely they turn that area into Broadway, possibly with a new Broadway show, like Wicked, which could lead to Kong having a nice theater marquee. This would mean that SF is completely going away, which I don't mind. Re-theme the restaurants and change a few things with the docks/pier and it can be anything.

I'm curious how much room this will take up of Disaster. Will it be the same layout as it is now or will they just stick with the outdoor queue and knock out some of the pre-show rooms and have room for a bigger ride? The development of this should be fun to watch.

I wonder which side of the park is going to be more popular when all is said and done: Diagon Alley or Transformers/King Kong/Revenge Of The Mummy? That's a toughie! lol

I kinda thought they would just demolish the entire thing including the outdoor queue and Beetlejuice, start from scratch, and build a big new show building.

I guarantee you that Universal will build something in San Fran that will block every trace of the Hogwarts Express. You can kinda see the track above the gate in between NY and San Fran. It sounds like this version of Kong will be something special.
