Here's my experience with cameras and why I brought it up.
So they want a lot of loose articles (hats, glasses except Rx) in locker or bin. My P&S camera was fine in my cargo pocket. I kept it away and they were fine with it. After our 3rd ride, the loading station got a bit backed up (we were train 3) so I decided to take out the camera since the ride was over and get some video/pics of some of the coaster from up there. Got to the station and had 3 different people get on my case, felt last employee was a little too on the nose....
1st employee - "You cannot have your camera out during the ride"
Me - "Understood, I only took it out after the ride was done but I won't anymore"
2nd employee (think it was one of the managers) - "You cannot have your camera out during the ride"
Me - "Yeah, I talked to that guy over there, I only took it out after the ride was done but I won't anymore."
2nd - "OK well don't do it again or we'll kick you out"
Me - "OK......"
3rd employee (Definitely a Manager) - "Can I talk to you for a second?"
Me - "If this is about my camera, I already spoke with 2 other people, I only took it out after the ride was done before we unloaded but I'm not bringing it out anymore."
3rd - "OK well no videos of the ride are allowed"
Me - "I know.... It was just a misunderstanding, I'm not bringing the cam out anymore"
3rd - "If you do it again, we're going to have security escort you out of the park and you won't be able to ride it anymore."
And at the point, I lost my cool a bit. I wasn't rude, but I snapped back a bit.
Me - "I don't know how many times I need to be told this and tell you the same thing. I said I understood the issue. I won't bring the camera on anymore; but I guess I wouldn't be having this conversation if I was TPR since their POV is already on YouTube. I'll just see it there".
Guy got silent and walked away.
Point is, they didn't want cameras out near the train.
*I wasn't trying to tattle-tale or anything since TPR's video was later pulled, just found it surprising the amount of pushback after a full POV was online already after telling them "Hey, I only took it out before we unloaded."
