Ye have little faith. In all that they have done in the last few years I would have thought this to be a relatively simple addition in comparison to, lets say, Gringotts.

I just measured, and the Soarin building is 95 feet wide (screens) whereas the twister building is 150' long by 120' wide. I checked only to prove that Universal could pull off a screen size comparable to Soarin. The great thing about Vecoma's system is that it requires far less depth than Soarin's; room to spare for queue

What about height? With HRRR there, won't the height of the screen be the issue?

Could always go downwards a few feet if so or needed.

Won't be an issue from my perspective. The building is already around 50' tall. Soarin building is reportedly 80' tall. They could raise a partial roof on twister if they felt it necessary.

It is all about the story, the editing and most importantly, the soundtrack. For me, the soarin film and soundtrack is really very well crafted and would stand up on any screen.

Indeed they could. I believe Soarin does something like this as there is what resembles a 5-6' orchestra pit-like hole in the front.

My doubt was with Space. Not quality.

But that was cleared up in recent posts.

I don't think Soarin' would have ever been the hit it is without the amazing soundtrack. Easily one of the best pieces ever written for a theme park

Yessuh! I have the soundtrack w/sound effects and love listening to it every so often. It's biggest fault is its capacity of 87... dreadful. Vekoma's can be built to handle 160. I would estimate they could possibly fit two theaters in the twister building. :stunned:

Aah... hm. I can't work with that. Goodness knows what they are up to.

I will let you all know that a number of 72 would be EXTREMELY ironic! Paradoxical even, and that aviation does play a part in my hint about the project number.

Do we know anything about the film? I can't see it being as good as Soarin if they focus only on New York City. Hopefully its more than just hang glider stuff and includes sites, sounds, smells of things we haven't thought about yet. And if it has a lesser capacity than Soarin that has me worried.

To my knowledge, no one here seems to know anything about any of it except DisneyHead and I with my knowledge of the project number. It is the most fun secret of any projects in recent months because of it.

Park with lower attendance and way more rides than Epcot should mean that capacity isn't a humongous deal

72 fits perfectly with this concept art for Dynamic Attractions' Flying Theatre:

Ick... now both you and DH both have pissed on my dreamy dreams.

Funny thing is, I only know what was being discussed last spring regarding Fallon, Rock Center, and twister and then, like Sauron, my eye was distracted toward Diagon's long, fraught opening.
