WLB has info but has shown to be biased based on profession. They offer a puzzle piece, not a hint at the picture, IMHO.

Also to play the one word game some more: BLUE!

It's not that. I just cannot tell what is true any longer. Universal has thrown me for a loop too many times in the past few years.

The moving seats while watching a big screen attractions don't do anything for me. You can find them all over the country at your local theme parks, so they are not very unique. There is one at Carowinds that was Days of Thunder themed, then switched to James Bond, then switched to SpongeBob. It was basically the same ride each time, but just a different film. The optimist in me tries to think "Yeah, but this is Universal...surely theirs will be better and different in some way"....but then I remember Shrek.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if they used something similar to what is coming for Avatar and opened it first. Does anyone remember in which thread the concept flying system was posted in the past two months? One picture showed it actually built as a prototype. Nothing to do with avatar that I know of.

I know it's somewhere buried in one of the threads. Someone made it sound like uni wanted to take avatars ride system and open it first to flip them the ultimate bird.

And the shrek seats are pneumatic. The noise they make ruins the show for me. But hey its cheap and simple and really unlikely to break. It would be cool if they had seats that were a 3 or 6 degree of freedom base so they could jostle you around a little bit instead of just bouncing.

Was waiting for this comment then joke about Wicked coming into the BMG theater.

No, my comment was just a joke because all three photos are well... blue. ;)

It's clear that it's 'theater'.

For me personally, I hope that the Shrek replacement(whenever it will be) isn't simply an overlay like the did to Despicable Me. I would love some soarin type attraction in that space. Those seats/stadium just doesnt do it for me. a technology like Soarin would greatly improve that space.

Here is what I was looking for the other day... and I added another option too.

And the load area. (it looks like the seats will move through the gates to the right and then push out into the screen.)

Brogent is the flying simulator system used for Fly Over Canada

DUH! THEY ARE THE SAME SYSTEM!!! oh well...

Tenacious me. Here is a video showing the gate fold down and the system pushing forward. The screen in this example doesn't look very big does it?

OK, so that is basically similar to Soarin. I don't mind this as much because at least it feels more like a ride, as opposed to just sitting in a theater. Especially if they can up it with smells and wind, etc.
