Just curious, if you wouldn't mind, how do:
Star Wars, AVATAR, and Harry Potter (as IPs) compare on Google Trends?

Here's an updated google trends comparison of the three major theme park lands added stateside since 2010 (using the most commonly searched term for each). As you would expect with Avatar promo picking up, "Avatar World" has reached the highest amount of people caring about it since not long after it's initial announcement... but it's still nowhere near the amount of people that search for "Harry Potter World".

Needless to say, Pandora has a LONG way to go if it hopes to be as successful as it is setting out to be.

Well you should post a screen shot of that, but even still, it's obvious when you search for the specific lands (which I think is more important to quantify excitement) that less people are excited for Avatar than Harry Potter.

You also picked the proper name for Pandora, which almost no one uses in a search. As I said earlier, "Pandora World" is the most search term for this land.

pandora world also leads to pandora's world music and the pandora shop world jewelry hints why I kept it avatar focused to block out that extra.

To put it bluntly, google trends is not a good source for any of this. Pay close attention to the avatar figures (exact same search term for Avatar in the 2 pics below),

At this point I think the main takeaway is you can get a Google Trend graph to say just about whatever you want it to say if you try hard enough.

But there is no case to be made that Avatar is as or more popular than Potter. You're living under a floating mountain if you think that's the case.

I'm actually starting to get a little excited for the food offerings. I love me some spring rolls and pineapple, so they should be great together. The cheesecake reminds me a lot of the ones at Amorette's Patisserie in Disney Springs. They're also small, fancy, and look like they have a shiny shell on them.

It looks pretty incredible from watching the short clips that aired earlier today. After viewing the one with Whoopi Goldberg, it seems that the boat ride is pretty much done. I can't say the same about Flight of Passage since there are supposedly 4 theaters. I hope that this land has an entrance similar to Diagon Alley at Universal and from the brief clips, it seems like it might.

I'm pretty stoked for this land, but not because I'm a huge Avatar fan. I'm just excited that Animal Kingdom is getting this addition. More importantly, this is replacing a glorified meet and greet area and a show which has since been moved to another part of the park. With 4 more films set to be released in the next couple of years I will be interested to see how many people will want to visit this new land.

Tip for locals: Joffrey's locations within Disney sell Donut King donuts... which if you haven't had one yet, do it. I believe the giant Simpsons donut sold in Springfield is also by Donut King.

I finally watched the videos and I didn't have that goose bumps moment. Some parts are very beautiful (glowing ground at night), but others leave me wanting more (floating mountains look a little hokey to me). I am hopeful that the land will translate better in person! I think that the rides look like a blast and I want to visit soon after opening.

I've seen a couple of my non-diney fan friends post these clips on Facebook with comments about wanting to visit. Perhaps this will be better received by the GP than I originally guessed.
