Oh, it's stupid, but it's still entertaining (to me... but my wife says I have terrible taste).

What actually struck me when I noticed it though, is that there is actually very little engagement through the VisitPandora hashtag. The majority of the tweets with it are coming from one person.

I know it doesn't mean anything, like Google trends analysis, just interesting.

I'll agree that it is an understatement to be sure; as there is a lot of situations I can go off on.

Go on...

I had a few at Christmas which was making my blood boil. I'm quite a patient person but having to explain to a woman for 20mins about why it's not possible to print a video onto a mug was pushing me to my limit.

You'd be surprised at what the masses do.

Every year they show up for the Christmas Day parade at WDW.

I've worked at WDW, I know the stupid things guests do.

However, almost all of them are during a PLANNED vacation. This was more or less sprung on the GP with no notice, people aren't going to just drop everything and WDW be seeing the effect within a week of the announcement.

Do I think that guests who PLANNED to go may be slightly confused and CMs getting asked the same question 100 times each day? Probably. However, having worked at DAK, it always gets packed this time of year.

We just normally aren't paying attention.

Woah there buddy. Lets occam's razor this: it's more likely DAK is busy because it's spring break, not because people are expecting Pandora to be open.

Anyway, back on topic.

AK is generally busier due to ROL - there are some extra guests, but in general they're hanging around to see the show so people who park hopped out normally are in park past 4pm.

Logic: it's not any busier in the morning or significantly at the gate ever, people are staying for the show, and leaving at or by 4pm was a thing.

Believe what you want, I have heard this from several CMs at DAK who are dealing with this. The GP is dumb. Yes, I agree there is an upturn in attendance in all the parks this week (apparently it's spring break in Canada as well as a few other places), but there is a significant number of people who just saw hype for "NEW AVATAR LAND" and never bothered to find out when it was opening.

When I lived in Monroe (mid 70's) there was a rival expansion football league. Detroit had a team that played it's home games in Ypsilanti (Detroit Wheels, maybe, not sure of the name). I think they folded during their first season. Anyway, we drove up to Ypsilanti a couple of times to see their games.

I wonder what the entertainment in terms of shows is going to be. Will they have Navis walking around...

I'm 99% that's a no. The only Na'Vi we'll see are inside the attractions.
