Seen elsewhere on the web people getting all up in arms about the area not having Mickey head tap styles. Lot of talk about how if it doesn't meet Avatar standards it shouldn't be universally used in other areas either.

Well, Test Track has its own without Mickey and no one seems to have cared.

You mean MM+ tap points, correct? Took me a few reads to figure out what you were saying.

I've never paid attention to the FP entry points - but the design studio and vehicle boarding ones are definitely the TT logo.

Did some searching and couldn't find anything for the MM+ points, but I know those touch points were installed prior to MM+ rollout which may account for the TT custom design.

If I recall properly it opened during the transition. So they had the cards for anyone who had an old style paper ticket but used bands and new cards from day 1.

At a camp ground I go to, everyone uses those laser star fields to light up the tree canopy around their camp site. I guess Disney just decided to use the same tech for "bioluminescence" or whatever they want to claim it is.

I think you're underselling what the walkways are.

I'm sure it will be a little different in two months. It'll certainly be very different in 2 years once stuff grows in

By looking at 3 pictures you came up with that conclusion. The other pictures are from backstage.

Yep.

Over Christmas week of 2012, they did a FP+ test at DAK and then by February they started switching out Annual Passholder's tickets for ones with RFID chips and anyone buying tickets would receive RFID as well as they were needed for the system. MagicBands came out to APs slightly later (IIRC), but there was a time for probably close to a year where you could get a crap ton of FPs at the parks because they were using FP+, but they also still had the regular paper fastpass machines in place.
