Man, that AA is awesome. I'm excited to see the final touches, like projections, for the night stuff. I kind of like the no music, honestly. Dissapointing about the lack of light up steps, but it sounds like they attempted it (like Cameron was walking on) and couldn't find a viable solution. :/
I think FoP will be great. The river ride is "ok". Something like shanghai's pirates would have been light years better (duh). Seems like they went into this ride half-baked, sans the AA.
Speaking of AAs- the shaman and avatar in water are ridiculous. Disney still has the crown here- when they put their mind (and money) behind something- it simply comes out mind blowing.
What a year for Orlando.
Although we see very little- this looks very little like what described. I don't see the "modern" look that you so mentioned. I see and old barracks with a navi overlay/decoration and some ordering screens and coke dispensers. If those count as "modern", then ok. It's just funny how through mostly negative eyes, how things can get described and viewed completely different than others (or reality even).
It annoys me that the clown known as Robb Alvey gets to go to these things. He is hands down, my least favorite Disney lifestyler there is. Just a complete meanie. It is comforting to know that if pregnant people can't fit on FoP- then there's no way he fits
