Well yeah, but you still give them little tastes of the money shots. They really didn't even show the outside areas that much either. When Cameron and Whoopi were touring it, the cam was angled up.towards the mountains.

Good point. Hopefully, the closer we get to May the more revealed. I was kind of oping to see some of the interior of the eating options and queue

I'm most interested in the ground glowing, really hoping it changes as you walk over it.

Remember when people were saying that they shouldn't criticize Fallon before experiencing it? Why doesn't that same standard apply to Pandora?

I get that it's a big investment by Disney and as @BriMan said, the land will largely be talked about by it's performance vs. expectations. However, we've yet to even see how THAT will play out and @epcyclopedia and others are like broken records in this thread repeating the same thing over and over and saying how it's looks too fake or it's a dead IP, etc, or on the flip side, those saying it's the best themed land ever.

Point is, i'm tired of coming into this thread and seeing stupid arguments that will never be solved from both sides, it just bogs down the thread.

Couldn't agree more. :horse:

I can see the arguments for both sides, I'm relatively new here and have seen the same points repeated several times already and it's getting tiresome. There won't be a winner. Let's just wait until May 27th and agree that as theme park fans we're all winning in some way as they are investing.

That said, having seen the videos today I am more hyped than I was yesterday which is only a good thing.

So that shot of the pathways all illuminated like the movie got me. That looks pretty cool.

Unlike most lands especially at night the floor is the floor. The fact in Avatar it will also be such a focus point is going to be really fascinating.

Brings another dimension to completing an immersive experience.

Yea, other than the Fountain of Nations, the most interesting thing in the Future World plaza to me has always been the glowing pavement at night:

I think the big difference between Fallon and avatar is that one is just a ride and the other is a complete land.

You can get a good feel for a land through photos, not so much a ride.

Comparing the rides is fair game though.

It's going to cost a lot to power this land at night, do you think they're going to use Green Energy?

I do agree that the 3D glasses were odd, but that's trivial (probably part of storytelling). While I liked what I saw from the looks around Pandora for the most part, i'm left slightly less intrigued for Na'vi River Journey. The short teasers I thought were doing a good job of hyping it up, but I was surprisingly not too impressed with what they showed of the ride with Cameron and Whoopie riding. It was far too obvious where the screens broke from the sets imo, I thought the panther sequence came off especially bad.

That aside, things are looking pretty good. Hopefully i'll be able to catch the Pandora segment from The Chew as the food is what is what i'm most interested in for what they have up their sleeve. People come for the rides, but they'll come BACK for snacks/specialty drinks. I have to think by this point that idea can't be lost on Disney.

Definitely getting me more interested in visiting. I do believe the visuals will blow all of the Wizarding World away. But I still reserve judgement on the overall feeling of the land. Call me a Potterhead but I can't get emotionally punched by the teasers yet.
Excited to visit though - going to be pretty amazing walking through this place at night!

I remain skeptical about Flight of Passage, but everything else about this land looks truly terrific. It appears to be massive in scale, colorful, and exotic without feeling like a gigantic aesthetic break from the park as a whole; I actually think the blending of some recognizable plant life with the created/artificial plant life will work well in allowing Pandora to feel of-a-piece with the greater park.

Can't wait to see it in October!

There's still another waterfall on the cliffs that sourround the show building that haven't been shown yet. That waterfall ends up at a creek where there's two swinging bridges.

That lumpia doesn't look pretty. It reminds me of a mcdonalds apple pie.

That was underwhelming but that actually sounds like a good snack.

There was a great aerial of the floating mountains with the backdrop as well.

Agreed.

AND THAT PIC... That's better than anything they showed during the actual hype pieces.

I thought the shot at 0:48 on The View video was more impressive. Not to say that one isn't as well.
