So would you rather they have opened a show that is buggy or possibly sucks? I know i'd rather they get it right.

I think it's a general comment that the show they planned for whatever reason didn't work out, an opening date was scrapped, and now the summer push for DAK is a mess. Just like you could call Test Track the biggest Theme Park Fails of 1997 and 1998 ;)

So.. you spend millions to develop a show on moving floating stages...

To then install stationary stages.

*laughs* You go WDI, you earn those 6 figures.
If this is kept for RoL, I'll agree with you. As for now, it seems as though its temporary for Jungle Book.

They put fiber optics in all the Main Street facades in Disneyland to only cancel the show that used them.. And then never use the effect in anything else. Eventually they were torn out like a decade later.

So, par for this particular course.

So, how long till we see the 'animal lanterns' as permanent fixtures around the park haha

Phase 2 in the "oh, we'll expand it later" or "we have future pans beyond this.." or "once the crowds die down..."

Always a lie. Always.
You do realize that JB: AwM is far more expensive of a show to run than if RoL was actually working, correct? RoL's expenses were in building it (and now fixing it). For JB, they have a cast of over 100 performing twice a night. Keep in mind, the majority of the cast performs in FotLK or Festival of Fantasy (One of the singers is from FotLK and another was from the Villains thing at DHS). The amount of overtime they are paying to Entertainment a day is insane.

Has there been any sort of update on this yet? Like, are they doing any sort of daytime testing of the floats or after hours testing of the full show? Looking at the dining options, you can book the JB dining package through Sept 5th. Are they shooting for a middle of Sept opening to maybe help draw crowds away from F&W in the evening? Or is this show is such a bad shape that we are looking at a summer 2017 opening?

Nope!

So, like "Nope!" they aren't even touching this show with a ten foot pole because of how much effort it will take to fix and they hope if they don't say anything everybody will just forget it was a thing that was suppose to happen? Or, like "Nope!" because Disney is scared to announce another date but they are ACTIVELY working on getting this to the public as quickly as possible?
