So now ParkScope and Orlando Informer are reporting that all of Diagon's construction crew will start on KidZone in September and not Jurassic Park?!?!

We're not reporting that. We heard KidZone removal in the fall, no idea on who is doing it or if it's a replacement of another project.

My bad. But still I had no idea KidZone was starting so soon.

wouldn't it make sense to start deconstruction more towards winter after HHN since they use that back area behind curious george for HHN? If i am correct they used that space for la llorona. But I guess since this is a two year project they would have to occupy that space at some pain regardless.

It's all good, just want to make sure the line between rumor and speculation is drawn with what we post! Thanks for reading.

La Llorona was in one of the Sprung tents behind MIB and the Simpsons. The only thing the possible demolition would affect is queue line setups.

I think whats great though too, is that I feel like this won't have a huge effect in terms of getting in the way. Yeah, people use this area but I feel like people won't be upset that this area is closed off/under construction. I'll just be happy to see dirt/torn up concrete in the area...

La Llorona was behind Barney in the spring tents (like JungleSkip just mentioned). The one behind Curious George is Walking Dead.

I suspect demolition will start immediately afterwards. If it does start before, though, I would think they'd just build the lines through the construction zone, working on Fievel and Nuthouse Coaster.

Exactly, since the walls can be moved once HHN is over. But I'm pleasantly surprised to hear the Nuthouse Coaster is going away permanently. Hopefully we get a family coaster

Hopefully we get a cool theme around a family coaster, I'm still kind of bummed that woody will still be there. Really low capacity ride that might take tons away from a immersive new land. As I said before my number one wish for kidzone is to make it a land of mini lands, no overall theme just pavilions. That way we can have variety like the old kidzone

From what OI posted, everything except Animal Actors and E.T. are getting demoed. So they're starting from scratch (like Diagon Alley)

If there's another coaster in its replacement, it will likely have a higher capacity

Access to both house locations could be rerouted through the MIB gate and/or the Simpsons gate with little inconvenience.

Ok good thanks for the clarification skip and mahnamina. Woody would suck even rethemed for a new area. I don't think anything being demo'd makes me that sad that it's going besides the ball factory at George. Had a ton of fun there as a kid and it's kind of melancholy knowing my little brother can never play in that area again. Whatever he still have zoo, olive and camp Jurassic to play in so not too bad but still. Fievels play land was also kind of cool as a kid with all the big stuff and that cowboy spider. It's for the best though, too big to go in it anyways XD

True. I was thinking of the Simpsons gate being used as an entrance to the house used for the house that had Walking Dead, but thought it was kind of needed for the event (I guess it isn't). I do think they would relocate the entrance to the tent that had La Llorona to the gate by MIB.

What thread were we talking about the giant model that is being built for some super secret project? The one that supposedly is not the water park and is bigger than the IOA model, takes up a whole sound stage?

Quick thought: we have speculated in the past that LOTR might go to IOA, but why not the Studios? I mean, if it took over Kidzone they would have a decent amount of room to play with and the expansion pad behind MIB to boot giving them tons of land if it proves popular. It also fits as the family land idea.

I think they could make LotR work for the KidZone space, especially since they do have the possibility of expanding onto the MiB plot... Although, I gotta agree with the others on the fact that the setting is not as "urban" as the rest of USF, and it wouldn't fit as well as it would in IoA, theme-wise. But it's definitely an interesting proposition!

Catching up on this thread
Really guys I didn't know what butterbeer was before wizarding world of Harry potter because I wasn't allowed to read the books or watch the movies but I googled it and read Harry Potter fans description of it and I got my answer. A kraby patty is a burger. What seafood is fried on a grill, has buns, and has pickles, ketchup and mustard on it lol? I also think people are making a big deal about the Krusty Burger and Krab being so close the same way they are doing the whole ticket thing to ride the train from universal to islands . Unless you live in Orlando you won't have an opportunity to try either of them regularly so pick one, both or none and move on with your day.

Anyway what happened to hatetofly?

Regardless I'm excited for what universal is building ! I hope they continue to follow Despicable me and Harry Potter merchandise wise with all the unique merchandise they are offering. I hope Disney goes back to doing it as well. Getting unique merchandise is an important part of the theme park experience well at least to me.

Just a thought but why not Godzilla. It could be with a Expanded Hollywood area and the Government is in a area,
evacuating Guests to these Transportation Vechicles (Transformers but Trackless and no lifts). It'd be like
escaping the big fight scene of Godzilla and he sees your vechicle and eats it but like from the Fiat Video, you escape by keep ramming into Godzillas teeth and he just spits you out. It'd be a unique attraction and could not only Incorperate the film but mabye some new elements. After all, Warner (Atleast I think) Would not
give Godzilla to a Crappy Six flags park and they already Trust Universal on Wizzarding World and might be letting them have LOTR soon so it'd actauly be cool. Sure, it'd be too much warner but cmon. It'd work more in this park than a Six flags and they won't give him to Disney.

But, We'll see at GodZilla Box office. It'd be interesting but lets hope it gets alot of money.
