Bro, of course the thing is mechanical. So is the one in that video. But something things would be ridiculously expensive to replicate in a self-functioning AA, LIKE THE SNOUT. That's all I said. I'VE ALREADY SAID THAT IT WILL MOVE! It was confirmed ages ago! I just said don't expect that level of authenticity. And yes I am a film student, and physical props on a set ARE much different than those found in an attraction that is meant to last years.

Bro !!!! Lmao.=) I get you but maybe they used up some money on that. Ok im gonna end this conversation, we will all know in a month for sure

Dude, did you watch the video? They had two guys behind that damn thing with HUGE controls. Let's set aside the COST that two people working that thing 12 hours a day and just stick to the fact that they'd have to build a special alcove in the walls to get in and out of it. It's going to be cool, but it's going to be an AA and not as articulate. Never said it wasn't going to move, just said not to get your hopes up about it being that articulate.

There you go! ^ Said it was going to move.

--- Update ---

Wasn't ther something that someone found out about drool/snot special FX posted about a thousand posts ago?

Get on it fanbois!

I believe that was for a 3D CGI specialist. He was hired to create drool, but his resume implied that it would be on video of some sort.

As for what Uni has promised us from the Hog's Head: It will "come alive and puff its jowls." That's about all they said. I just didn't want people coming back saying, "That Hog's Head was lame. All it did was puff its jowls and move. I thought it was going to open its mouth and roar and sneeze on me and wiggle its nose like Samantha on Bewitched!" LOL.

Wow, it is difficult on a website forum to differentiate between, fan-dreamers, theme-park dreamers, pros that know what will be, pros that have no idea, pragmatists and negativists. The fact is, the picture released today is brilliant with incredible detail. Other fact is... the hog in the film never displayed the qualities that they developed for the film.

While cool as cream... it was never shown. There will be limits to what is done in a theme park 99.9% of the time... yet they might surprise us. That said, if the snout rotates with that amount of detail... I will be impressed. I don't know one way or the other... I just know what company created it... yet I have no idea what their budget was. Nor does 99.9% of the collection of folks on this thread. End of story.

AND NO! This is not a riddle. It is what I wrote. No hints, no nothing.

Hmmmm, Is Teebin trying to say something again??? I wonder what he means by "I KNOW WHO CREATED IT"? Maybe that the same people that created the Hogs Head for the film were hired to make the Hogs Head for the theme park? Ok, we've got another one of Teebin's "Famous" Riddles to crack...GET ON IT PEEPS!!!

Teebin, I like to think of myself as a theme park dreamer turned pragmatist, hahaha. I love Blue Sky concepts and love to visualize and theorize, but I also have seen where priorities lie. In terms of money spent on AA, I'm guessing the Hog's Head is toward the bottom of priorities.

Please dont scream at me but i like to see examples and compare. =)
AA vulture from DollyWood Tennesse (it may take time to load)

I know that this AA is way less technological then the hog in the last video with the drool, but i would assume that Universal has the skill and money to create an AA better than this vulture. By the way this bird acually interacts with you, cause i've been there and he made fun of me. lol
Was just a comparison.

Hey not going to scream at you, dude. I know that Uni will create a better ani than that bird. I'm just saying don't expect the intricacies of the Hog that the specific video that's it. No more, no less.

Thanks Mookie for the pics. Am I looking at the warning sign for FoTH in the 2nd pic? Just a guess since it's near the large rock witch I believe to be the entrance.

Did you ever get to experience Triceritops Encounter Jymmy? That was 99.9% good for a movie shot. It was THAT good even though many found it "boring" probably because it didn't crush a small child live.... if it had then 70% of the public would have thought it astounding.

I have indeed experienced TE Teebin, and you're right it was really good. But that sort of proves my point. TE was an attraction itself. It wasn't next to the counter at the Enchanted Oak. Don't get me wrong, I think this thing will be cool, but even you yourself said if it is able to articulate its nose and such that you will be impressed.
