I haven’t been keeping up but has anything been rumored for the Studios? I had a blast when I went in December after not going for years but I went yesterday and it wasn’t a good experience outside of Transformers. Studios need some tlc. I did run into a cm spilling info on 3rd/4th gate while I was enjoying tacos. He did seem knowledgeable at first but full of crap toward the end. I couldn’t keep my laughter in thinking about all the cm jokes on the forums throughout the years lol.

Other than Bourne, Project 130 is/was the only other addition coming to USF. The permits for its infrastructure (Project 130i) were filed last summer and a new chiller plant and power substation were supposed to be built behind KidZone, but I don't believe any work has started yet. The curse of KidZone continues!

Oh and Shrek also came pretty close to closing, but that's also still holding strong, for now!

I think “major annluncemt” at the convention center next to the new park means new park announcemt. Idk if we’ll get anytbing else but I’d be shocked if we don’t hear anything about a new park

I missed the entire thread lower in the forum. If they're renting out the Convention Center then ya, sky's the limits of what they may announce. Bring it on!

Theme park university also is saying a parade is probably coming to the park. Could be a replacement for the 8 year old daytime parade or maybe an electric light one??

I hope Universal invites Alicia, if anything she could correct them if they say something wrong ;)
But in all seriousness, Universal, invite Alicia and the Inside Universal team!
I’m just so excited to see this become official. You guys, you just don’t even know. The park. The hotel. You guyssss! I want them to announce everything. It’s all so exciting!

I just can’t see them announcing a whole lot.

I can see resort as a whole but vague. I think even revealing the worlds might be a step too far.

I’m not saying you’re responsible (Although you have been more than generous;)) but this is one of the worst kept secrets in the theme park industry and it’s time for them to address them.

You know something.

GUYS, SHE KNOWS SOMETHING! EVERYONE GET HER! ;)

I am placing the bet that Thursday is full groundbreaking ceremony as-well, considering Beijing. I am though if they are going to show everything..if there will be NDA on the pictures of a potential model of the complex.

I doubt it. If they're going to go through the trouble to show the model to the press, they're not going to keep people from taking pictures of it. Plus, pictures would probably be leaked within a couple of days anyways.

Well, based on a certain tweet quoted in the Blue Sky thread, it looks like we might be getting some "fantastic" news next week. While I have no idea if that's true or not, I figured it was time to share some information I've been digging up that basically confirms at least one land in Fantastic Worlds, (not that it will come as any surprise) and should help with piecing together the larger puzzle that is Project 304.

So first, some brief context/background info. As we know, Universal assigns project numbers to everything. Project 887 was the overall project number for Beijing Park 1. All the lands of the park were separated into zones, and when each zone was sent out to bid, each had its own project number. They used project numbers in the 700 range - for example Project 712 was Jurassic World, I believe.

It appears Universal is doing the same thing for the development of Fantastic Worlds - Project 304 is the main project number for the overall park, and each individual land is getting a 900 series project number. There have already been some 900 series project number permits for the back of house work, as can be seen here:

Today, I managed to stumble upon the resume of a Concept Designer who does a lot of work for both Disney and Universal, and they just happened to have a nice long list of all the projects they've worked on for Universal Creative:

Some of those numbers will look very familiar - others not so much. The most interesting ones to me are Projects 903 and 905. I wasn't able to find much on Project 903, but some people on Linkedin are working on Project 905 and have had some very telling other gigs and live in a very specific part of the world:

You may recall a very similar situation happening when Project 722 permits started getting filed - many people with Project 722 listed on their Linkedin's also worked on Harry Potter films and also were working at Leavesden Studios. So I think it's a pretty safe bet that Project 905 is the Fantastic Beasts land in Fantastic Worlds. Again, it's not really anything we didn't already know, but at least we now we have some fairly concrete evidence of its existence, and a project number!

So anyway, I hope some of you find this interesting - I know it doesn't tell us much in the grand scheme of things, but at least we now have specific things to look out for in the future!

Thanks! I've updated the Project Number thread.
