WaterWorld's new audio has been switched on today. I'd be interested to hear what others think.

The new audio system for WW is fantastic! The sound is fresh, clean and crisp. They were having a little bit of a feedback issue, but nonetheless, this system brings new life to the show.

The only downside was the fact that they added sound effects to go along with the gun fire. So you would hear the natural gun fire along with the sound effect. Minor annoyance.

Overall, this was a great addition!

Four shows didn't happen yesterday ((28th). I wonder if it was due to the new sound system.

They've added some new sound effects.

I think it may be a contributing factor, but they were (and still are) having issues with their pyro. They're still suffering from feedback, but I'm not sure that would be a show stopping fault.

I'm not sure about the cause, but many of the effects weren't going off. Most notably, some performances today didn't include the final flare-gun effect (the mariner had to pull the deacon into the water).

If the conditions are anything short of standards they'll nix the pyro for safety concerns. Not sure if this was why, but it tends to happen in windy conditions or if something seems off in the system.

We've talked about this a bit on Facebook and Twitter, but what does everyone think of the new sound effects?

All the hand guns have been replaced with rubber ones. They still use the shotgun but it's clearly a much smaller load. It sounds like a pop gun now.

I hate what they're doing.

Are the neighbors at it again? If so, then El Cucuy should pay them a visit.

Let me guess, they are trying to please the Hollywood Liberals who believe guns are the work of the devil. Or, trying to cut costs on the maintenance and blank ammunition the real weapons required.

I think it has to do with saving costs and maintenance to be honest. Or sound. If it was to "cut back on violence and gun exploitation", they would get rid of the Mummy, Simpsons, and especially Transformers haha.

I think it's noise complaints. That's been going on for a long time. Pyro is being replaced, too.

Next thing you know, they're going to put a projection dome over the WaterWorld arena and all the fireworks and explosions will be 3D projections.
