Honestly people, there's no need to fight about this.

If there are people intent on not believing there will be an expansion, let them.

Just make sure to rub it in their face in 3-5 years. :p

*Kidding of course, relax everyone*

It's not fighting when you're providing facts (which admittedly some people haven't). It's called debate, and is the point of this forum. Seriously stop trying to break up a fight that isn't here (except of course when people post rude comments). Just don't read this thread if you don't want to participate.

This is just getting crazy out of hand. You guys have to realize, that it's completely out of proportion to take one trait from the books and movies and apply it to the theme park to make it be completely unrealistic, and not even in the books or movies. It's a theme park, yes.. but they do have tons and tons of limitations for all guests to enjoy it. They aren't making a walk through of a train, or a floo powder tunnel for guests to get from Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade, just no.

"They are theme park creatives, they can come up with anything."

While the Harry Potter world, does have a large canvas of possibilities considering it's a wizarding world, doesn't mean that they can do anything they want and call it okay because "it's magic". Jo is not making her creation something corny and stupid. They worked so hard, on all the little details and pretty much all the classic key points from the entire series and placed it into one land of a theme park, and called it Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's successful, and it's going to continue to be. But that by no means, qualifies it to be expanded... because clearly they have nothing to expand to. They are not going to put in a Diagon Alley within walking distance of Hogsmeade, and they are not going to come up with some cheesy plan to make it geographically correct just because we are in Harry's world. When things start to become so out of hand, where it's not even in the book... then you know that it's just not a good idea with what they have right now. I do not see Harry Potter expanding, and that's just my opinion, and it's not changing. There are too many reasons effecting it.

Hagrid's Hut is around the corner from Olivanders at WWOHP. So why would it be out of the realm of possiblity that they'd make Diagon Alley within walking distance of Hogsmeade? As long as it looked good why would anyone care? Jurrasic Park is walking distance from Wizarding World is walking distance from Lost Continent is... you get the drift. It's a theme park. They could transition it nicely by having Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley (London) lead to Hogwarts Express at Kings Cross (also London and already exists in WWOHP) lead to Hogsmeade couldn't they?

It is fighting when it gets as rude as it is getting. Everybody here, myself included, needs to just take a breath and calm down.

those are much different. Hagrids hut went from a couple of hundred feet to a hundred feet. DA would go from 100s of miles to a couple of feet. And LC and the WW are two completely different lands

As already said, there's a difference when you're viewing things from a different island, it doesn't really matter that much. And there's a big difference btween Hugrid's Hut and Hogmseade, and Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.

The only people that need to calm down are the ones telling others to calm down. Its a debate, as mantaguy said, others aren't going to share your opinion. Opinions are opinions, facts are facts. No one knows whether this phase 2 is going to happen. Yes, there have been surveys, but that may just mean Universal want to know how guests feel about the current area. Just because screamscape says something, doesnt mean it will come true. The only definite source of info is Universal.

LC isnt a bad island. Everyone hates on poseidon, but most people coming off of it seem to enjoy it, myself included. Mythos is, as we all know, a really top class place to eat. The only bad part is the Arabian section. However, that area from fire eaters grill to WWOHP really isnt THAT big.

There is NO DEFINITE evidence of an extension as of now, so please, stop saying this IS happening.

mantaguy, i have been gone for 3 hours and come ack to 3 or 4 new pages about heated discussion. coming from a spectators point of view, many comment could easily be seen as rude and unnecessary, and TSSD thank you for acknowledging that.

Now, as for the expansion, it can easily go both ways. They can either do it or not. To me, the bottom line is, something needs to be done about LC, whether it be Harry or LOTR or just anything. It's a pretty lame area.

And another thing, for the average person to go to a theme park, they wouldn't care how you get from one land to another (yes I know impressing JK is another story, but they could probably figure out something. I even have one idea that might work.). The average person just goes to the park and enjoys their time doing rides, eating good food, and buying stuff. Frankly, now that I think about it, is hogsmead even that close to hogwarts? If not then how do you get from hogsmead to hogwarts taking 5 steps? These questions arise for people and this site, but not many other people. so with that, they basically have to impress JK and thats basically it.

@Damond They don't have to please the average tourist, they have toplease theme park fans, HP fans, and most importantly, Jo.

Yup. You're right.

And they've already proved that they're damn good at doing that. And I have faith that they will continue the streak with whatever they've got up their sleeve this time. :)

They aren't here to please the average tourist. Sure, that's what it's there for but they can't do anything unless it DOES please all 3 of those people, especially Jo.

It's amazing how a woman who was completely homeless and couldn't even afford to got to a theme park, has approved one of the most incredible theme park expansions and now the phase two part of it!
