I was there a week ago and watched the water screen show.
The workers were done and out of there before dark.None of the pics show big light carts for them to work all (or late)night. So I would think by the time of Night HHN starts rocking
the workers are gone.

They turned off most of the lights for the construction site when the lagoon show is going on (handful on buildings, then there are 3 on the big crane)... Basically they get 2 breaks: Lagoon show, and parade... but they don't always take a break for the parade

I think I would find the lights pretty annoying during HHNs the place is already lit up enough. As for the noise they should done with the jack hammer by then. I would hope them to be respectfull of the event and their guests.

Why would horror night guests be any different or more deserving of respect than their current guests? They are moving ahead full bore on this project! Guests be damned!

Watching the Olympics on NBC, they just ran a Tranformers: The Ride ad for Universal Hollywood here. Is it odd to be running that in the Orlando market?

Seeing how it is a special event nighttime ticket, I would say yes.

Isn't it, mostly, a national advertising market?

I doubt they'll stop. These projects are too important.

My guess is that a lot of the noise making stuff will be done by the end of Sept. or they will schedule for quieter stuff to be going on during the event. But I expect the lights to be on and work going on.

It's been running nation wide. I saw it the other day.

Odd I haven't seen a WWoHP/Orlando one, though.

It is also odd that the ad appeared to be promoting that one attraction only... and not promoting the entire park.

Personally, I think it's a good strategy. I often feel parks fail to advertise what's new, leading people to believe nothing at the parks changes.

I also saw a national DM:MM ad.

New acronym: DM:MM = Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem

I've seen so many WWoHP ads I've lost count... It's the only ad for Universal I've seen :shifty:

I saw a UOR commercial during the Olympics that featured more than just Potter last Saturday! I was shocked!

^ That's all I have seen here in Orlando lately when it comes to Potter. It is always UOR featuring Potter... and yet the rest of the resort too. Even back in 2010 it was all inclusive with their "Be courageous, Be outrageous, Be extraordinary" campaign.

You are in rare form tonight DH! True, UOR should have entered the Olympics this year... just when I think I have a handle on their ambitions, they jump another 20' over my head.
