I've never seen Gremlins, but based on the wiki page...it does seem a little bit scary. Lots of killing. I wouldn't base the entire maze off of one scene of the thing dancing.

Real talk though. Gremlins is easily one of my biggest wants for HHN. It’s just a perfect HHN house IMO.

And see, I could get on board with Gremlins IF Ghostbusters was out. One or the other, not both.

Granted I’ve not watched the movie in a couple years but gremlins are so small so would the whole house just be puppets?

That’s what I would want. Which is why I think it’s unlikely

You know, if you constantly took things at face value at what's considered scary or not, you'd all be trashing H.R. Bloodengutz, Slaughter Sinema, Ghost Town etc. Need I mention Bill & Ted which wasn't scary nor horror at all?

Not to mention time and time again, walking through a house is a bit different than watching a movie/tv show. Also, it's not like Orlando hasn't gotten creative with a property before. Just because something may not be considered horror or scary doesn't mean it can't be. I was unsure of how Stranger Things would turn out, and it quickly proved to be a lot scarier than I thought it would, and I noticed many others who felt the same.

So if Gremlins is coming, I say bring it on! There's plenty of opportunities for sheer puppet mayhem, and considering the puppets Orlando makes, I have faith they'll do it right.

Variety is the spice of life, people. Open your mind and you can be surprised at what you'll enjoy.

Believe me, I greatly enjoy having a change of pace! But it's far more effective if it's contrasted with most of the other houses being played straight.

That scene ruined what was left of It's integrity for us. My daughter has a silly dance she does all the time to be stupid, and it is EXACTLY this dance.

He wasn't scary anyway after the first sewer scene, but that was it for us. That, plus the fact that 6 kids basically beat him up easily.

And realistically, there could be three (maybe even four) more clues if you kept going in that direction.

Maybe this is even a clue...

Ok, I'll be honest. This might offend a few people, but while I didn't LOVE It like a lot of people did, the fact that it came out the weekend Irma hit made It just a little scarier to me. And for whatever reason, this scene makes me think of that fact.

So if GB, KKfOS and Gremlins happens, that's just three houses out of Ten. ST and Nightingales are playing it straight. An from what some others have said, this lineup feels nicely balanced.

I mean, if we wanna end the debate, Legacy's most recent post on the Hollywood thread was "Gremlins is not coming to Orlando."

I was just about to edit my recent post, but yeah, Legacy did post this in HW's thread.

Considering HW's puppet game hasn't been as strong as Orlando's (eg, their AWiL wolves don't hold a candle on Orlando's), I hope they improve for that.

My point still stands on properties/concepts which might not be considered scary at face value. Keep a open mind and see what magic the team can create.

He didn't say it was coming to Hollywood. Neither did he imply it was.
