I love some of the shots of the coaster running, but lord... Are they serious with that rap jingle thing? :ack: I... no like.

I love the rap jingle. Reminds me of this:

Good God...... that ad was awful. The sad part is that this is going to be on local channels for months to come :embarassed:

Regarding soft openings, I wouldn't be surprised if they opened it for a bit later tonight.

UPDATE: Per Inside the Magic, the line opened for 5 minutes at 11.

So it's been soft opened about a total amount of 15 minutes across two days. Progress.

How do you "rock" your way there while listening to hip hop..shouldn't have the commercial said "be hip, and hop your way..."

Worst commercial ever...the only thing was missing was Kanye getting up and grabbing a microphone saying "Hey Big Thunder Mountain, you're a great mine train coaster, but Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is the best coaster ever."

Actually, contemporary hip-hop/rap artists all think they're rock stars now (Kanye being at the top of the list), so it actually makes sense.

This video came up as an ad on YouTube for me just now:

First time I'm seeing it, although it says it was uploaded on May 12th.

^ 1940's Pathe Newsreel style... when was that last used as an advertising technique... 1984? It doesn't quite flip my switch, but hey.
I assume they are using it because the film was released in 1937, which is right around the same period where you might have seen something like this.

I think the ad is great. Really clever but cute. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
