Finally caught up after a week without power. I feel like every show with the kick one person out each week format starts slow and you have to start slow to succeed. My main takeaway is how my pre-show favorite Day has now become a i hope she leaves due to her stupid rules about who she can and can't vote for. Feel like that will prevent good game play

I think the biggest thing is cast sizes are too large and seasons are too long. The seasons don't need to be 99 days or in that range. I think 65-70 with 13 houseguests rather than 16 is a much better way to do this show. With a 99 day show, this show really is a marathon and thus you now need to build mega alliances to survive. This is bad TV.

On a 65-70 day season with a smaller, 13 person cast, while it still is a marathon and not the sprint that Survivor is, the shorter season provides incentive to play harder from the jump. We saw this fairly recently on the OTT edition of the show and we see it with Canada every year as they only do 70 day season with roughly 13 people (and the OTT season was 65 days with 13 people).

The competitions also need to be changed up, but that's really a separate issue. I think the thing that would make the game more interesting from the start would be what I outlined which is 2 simple changes.

Yeah fewer people would speed the game up. These games have just advanced so far that everyone knows you can't win the game in the first few weeks. If you have a strong run down the stretch you win.
As for the competitions I think having HOH not live would give them flexibility to make it more complex and fun

Totally agree about competitions not needing to be live. I don’t need to know immediately who is going to HOH and it would make an otherwise boring show interesting on Sunday.

Tonight’s show will be totally pointless, for example. Biggest storyline may be Nicole/Janelle fighting?

Yeah these next few episodes might be pretty uneventful, but I do think it adds something when the main alliance splits unless it is one of those were the bottom people don't realize they are the bottom. I personally like having a group run things for a few weeks then turn on each other.

Side question, as a newbie has COVID had a noticeable impact on the show (looking at challenges different due to small crew, edit missing things, ect)?

The main impact it has had is that the house guests are stuck inside 5 days out of the week now. Normally it's only 2 or 3 days, but due to limited crew, they need extra time to set up competitions.

I agree a civil war is brewing within the main players. Dani wants Tyler out and Tyler wants Dani out so I expect that battle to happen at some point and it's still not 100% decided if Janelle or Kaysar are leaving this week. Enzo is trying to convince Tyler that they can use Janelle to take out Nicole if Janelle were to win HOH this week.

I have been trying to figure it out, is that area actually outside? The clips I have seen (only what was shown on tv) seems very fake. It has came across to me as them trying to make an area in the studio appear to be outside. I assume I have to be wrong as I can't imagine going ~100 days without going outside

'Big Brother' fans are passionate about the game and as the show progresses, viewers get more emotional. The house was placed on lockdown after someone yelled at the house.

I don't normally condone outside influence, and I don't condone the language they used towards her, but....... I applaud the fan/CBS employee who wanted to go out with a bang doing this.

Things are looking good for Kaysar in terms of blending into the background though depending on who wins though. Christmas actually wants to work with Kaysar and would put up Day/Bay. Memphis wouldn't put up Kaysar. Kaysar has said he would put up Dani/Nicole. Cody I think is seeing Day/Bay (and David) as a bigger target than Kaysar. David is causing big issues. David would probably be one of the worst to win HOH tbh. I see him putting up Memphis and Kaysar.

Julie's a fan. She has her favorites like you and me. And yeah, he's gonna tell Memphis stuff, but I don't think Memphis is the complete worst. I think Memphis is comfortably playing the middle. If only Memphis knew how far on the outs he was from the alliance.

So I assume I've missed nothing and Kaysar is leaving tomorrow? I frankly haven't watched or paid attention much. Id like to think Ian or Day see their spots coming soon but idk if they'll be able to see it. Them and Tyler are my go to people right now for whats left. Its odd though, it seems EVERYONE, casuals, non casuals, and extreme hardcore people do not like this season. It seems universally agreed upon which I highly doubt is the case with any, or most big brother seasons. Its clear somehitngs gotta be done casting wise or game wise to shake up this show.

Enough ranting though, hoping things pick up as frankly if they were going to any week it'd be this upcoming one.

Pretty much what i've been hearing from RHAP. I cancelled my All-Access already, but I have things have been heating up for the Civil War to begin possibly as soon as Thursday depending on who wins HOH. A lot of the guys are ready for Dani to go.
